BECKLEY POST-HERALD, BECKLEY, W. Rushbrook, 78, Dies Joseph E. "Eck" Rushbrook, 78, of Roanoke, formerly of Raleigh County, died Thursday morning in a Roanoke hospital. He was a retired timber dealer and inspector in West Virginia. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.

Bernice Fleshman Rushbrook; one son, Joe of Knoxville, a daughter, Mrs. Peggy (Loney of Roanoke, two; brothers, Garfield of McMinn-1 ville, and Fred of Pearisburg, five sisters, Mrs. Laura Witt and Mrs. Louise Witt, both of Peterstown, Mrs. Myrtle Whitaker of laeger, Mrs.

HEDRICK Hedrick Attends Medical Meeting Dr. John A. Hedrick, a Beckley physician, was among! 5,000 members of the American Academy of Family Physicians who met recently in New York City. Dr. Hedrick heard nationally recognized medical speakers discuss up-to-the-minute health care topics, attended clinical seminars, and visited exhibits designed to provide specific knowledge a variety of clinical areas.

The meeting, called the Annual Scientific Assembly, was the largest ever held by the academy. It was held at the New York Coliseum. The assembly was one of the highlights of the 25th anniversary commemoration of the Topics this included medical by-products of the space program, counseling! 'of the adolescent and adult, a thorough airing of the "new morality," and the doctor in court. The academy, headquartered in Kansas City, is the na.tion's second largest medical association and the only national medical organization that requires its more than 32,000 members to keep "going back school." All AAFP members must complete 150 hours of continuing. education every three years.
