The next meeting will be held Dec. 15 following the 0 din- stelS.Bostic Succumbs At 18 RE-NICK (HNS) Estel S. Bostic, 78, died Wednesday in a Clifton Forge, hospital after a long illness. He was a retired section laborer for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs.

Joseph Bostic. Survivors include two sons, Elben of Renick and Olen of Churchville, three daughters, Mrs. Marietta Rigs'by of Renick and Mrs. Flossie Brannon and Mrs. Irene Rudd, both of GhurcbviUe, a sister, Mrs.

Stella Linnan of Port Allegheny, two stepsisters, Mrs. Frances Hepler of Frankford and Mrs. Lola Black of Hot Springs, a brother, Ager of Millpoint; a half brother, Charles Bostic of Seebert; his stepmother, Mrs. Emma Bostic of Frankford: 34 and 33 great- grandchildren. H33NTON (RNS) Thomas J. Jolliffe of Brooks was lodged in jail Wednesday to await a hearing on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He was arrested at 2:30 p. rn. Wednesday in the alley behind the police station by City Police.

One other person was arrested for being intoxicated. Admitted were James P. Fitzsimmons, Miss Patricia Graham, J. S. Huffman, Robert W.

TOPIC OF PROGRAM ALOERSON (RNS) "Christmas Ideas by Future Home was the subject of the program presented Tuesday at the meeting of the Mothers Club by three members of the Alderson Chapter Future Homemakers of America under the direction of Mrs. Earnest Lee Skaggs, home economics teacher at A1- derson High Sdiool.

Sue Kincaid and Betty Thompson told how Christmas decorations can be made of things ordinarily thrown away such as milk cartons, foil trays, and other articles used around the home. They, gave a demonstration of how these may be turned into attractive Christmas decorations. Carole Light gave a demon stration of how to create decorations for doors and mantels and how to use old Christmas cards in various Mrs. Skaggs gave tips on how to fireproof the Christmas tree. She said that a spray made of one cup of boric acid and one and one-half cups of borax make tree fire proof.

The meeting was held" at the home of Mrs. Charles M. Lobban with Mrs. David Nash as co hostess. Mrs.

Paul McKain con-ducted the devotional service which was based on "Christmas Spirit" and included the Christmas story from the Gospel of Luke, a short story and "Silent Night" sung by the group. In the absence of the president, Mrs. Frank Nash conducted the meeting and presented Mrs. Howard McVey as a new member. She also announced that note paper and greeting cards are available for purchase of the benefit of the UNICEF program.
