P. Daniel Realty Co. on Prince Street Monday morning.

The Beckley Fire Department answered the call at 1:30 a.m. and extinguished a burning chair and! mattress in the basement of the establishment. The fire caused considerable smoke, but no damage was reported according to fire authorities. Jail Activity Told Three juveniles were jailed Monday. Two brothers, 14 and 15 years old, were jailed by Sheriff Zina French, at 1:25 p.m.

Another youth was jailed at 1:35 p.m. but was later released to her mother. The charges could not be learned. Bobby LCP Humphrey of Rt. 1, Beckley, was jailed at 10:50 a.m.

Monday for improper registration by state police. He was remaned in lieu of $17 fine. William E. Dean was jailed by military police at 1:05 p.m. Monday for being absent without leave from the Army.

James E. Duncan of Rt. 2, Beckley, was released after posting bond to Town District Magistrate Joe i Monday. He had been jailed on a nonsupport warrant at 9:05 p.m.; Sunday. City police arrested Harry Quesenberry, no address listed, at 9 p.m.
