FOPRTKKA' Edward O'Neal Succumb At Edward O'Neal, 80, of Cral Orchard died at his home al 1:3 p.m. Tuesday after an extendei illness. Born on May 19, 1879. in Kan County, he was a son ihe late James and Annie Me Dcwcll O'Neal. He was a re tired miner and a resident Raleigh County for Uie past 41.

years. Survivors include his widow Amber Richardson O'Neal; two daughters, Mrs. Nora Fuller Virginia, and MKS. Swimn of Mor-gantown: two stepdnugh ters, Mrs. E.

Nora Blanton of Paintsville, Mrs, Anna Gil- flemvatcr of Beaver, Mrs. Wanda Lilly of Pcmberton, and Mrs. George Wood of Crab Orchard; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ruth Carter of Pinch, and Mrs, Gladys Wyrick of Peterslown; four brothers, Richard of Sullivan, McKlnley of Lilly Heights, Russell of Whitby, and Londie of Christiansburg, one sister, Mrs. Clara Birchfield of Maple 34 grandchildren, and live great grandchildren.

John Pavlick, 69, Dies In Hospital John Pavlick, 69, of Bolt, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday in a local hospital after an illness of several weeks. He was born in Hungary, and vas employed by the Raleigh- Wyoming Mining Co. at Glen logers.

He was a member of the Jnited Mine Workers of America Union Local 6004; Glen Rogers. His wife, Hose Pavlick, preceded him in death In 1941. Surviving arc three sons, David and John, both of Bolt; Aleck, Detroit, one daughter, Mrs. Emil Ondrechen of Cleveand, Ohio and eight grand- Jilldren. The body is at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home.

Clarence Woolen, county 4-H agent, said one scholarship is for the State Camp and the other is for the Boys' Camp. The contest will begin in October and end in May. NEW SUITS FILED Three suits were filed in the office of the Raleigh County Circuit Clerk Monday. Doris Marie Turner, an infant, suing by Thomas Canterbury, claims damages of $5,000 from Bobby Vest as the result of an automobile accident on South Fayette in August 1958.

The two other suits stem from an accident on Valley Drive in July, 1958. William H. Seuss Jr. is suing M. E.

Harvit and Ms daughter, Rita Louise, for $10,000. Mrs. Suess claims damages in the amount of $20,000 for personal injuries and damage to her car. Hulett C. Smith, general Chairman of the Child Care Center Appeal, announced a luncheon for the advisory committee, special gifts committee, and advance gifts committee will be conducted at the Beckley Hotel today.

The 1 appeal starts Oct. 5 and ends Oct. 15.
