A lifelong resident of Slem County, he was a 1951 graduate of Penns Grove High School. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by three sons, William "Jamie" Jennings Jr. of Elmer, Thomas E.

Kurtz III of Force veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Ore-tha L. Harrington; a son, Barry and his mother, Jennie Biser Harrington, both of Ridgely; a brother, David of Henderson; three sisters, Betty Gentzler of York, Martha Ferguson of Frankford, and Evelyn Harrington of Baltimore; a foster brother, Thomas Schuyler of Mid-dletown, and a foster sister, Connie Crossley of Sudlersville. A service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home, 12 S.

Second Denton, where friends may call at 10. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Chapel Road, Cordova. Friday at Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market Linwood, where friends may call at 9. Burial will be private. JAMES M. CORDREY, 71, of Foulk Manor North, Brandywine Hundred, died Tuesday of heart failure in Christiana Hospital. Mr.

Cordrey began working for the DuPont Co. in 1942 as a summer employee at the Seaford nylon plant. He held supervisory positions in production and research in Wilmington and New Jersey before retiring in 1982 as manufacturing superintendent of the polymer products department at the Washington Works in Par-kersburg, W.Va. Later, he was an engineering consultant for several years. An avid bridge player, he was a silver life master in the American Contract Bridge League and a former president of the West Virginia State Bridge Association.

A native of Salisbury, he was a graduate of Wicomico (Md.) High School. He earned a degree in chemical engineering in 1944 from Lehigh University, where he was a member of Theta Chi frater He attended Christiana High School until his sophomore year, when he moved to Miami. He is survived by his mother, Virginia K. Stoddard, with whom he lived; and two brothers, Allen K. of Townsend, and Earl P.

of Newark. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Robert T. Jones Foard Funeral Home, 122 W. Main Newark.

Burial will be private. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association. MYRTLE B. TREMPER, 75, of Oak Orchard, formerly of Grasonville, died Tuesday of congestive heart failure in Millsboro Nursing Rehabilitation Center. Mrs.

Tremper had been a sales clerk at a Towson (Md.) drugstore for 20 years. She retired in 1980. She was a member of Oak Orchard Community Church and Oak Orchard Community Center. Her husband, Leo Joseph Tremper, died in 1986. She is survived Pedricktown and Adam J.

Kurtz of Pennsville; and three grandchildren. A service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Laughrey Funeral Home, 1 N. Broadway, Pennsville, where friends may call at 9. Burial will be in St.

George's Cemetery, Pennsville. MILDRED B. MALCOLM, 88, of 315 George Chesapeake City, formerly of Boothwyn, died Tuesday of cancer at home. Mrs. Malcolm worked at the Strawbridge Clothier department store in Springfield, for 18 years.

She retired in 1970 and moved to Chesapeake City. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Chesapeake City, and its Women's Group and Prayer Warriors. She was a member of the International Sunshine Society and a life member of Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 16, Chester, Pa. She enjoyed country music and making music tapes for friends. Her husband, William H.

Malcolm, died in 1966. She is survived by a daughter, Judith A. Staker of Chesapeake City, with whom she lived; a sister, Marci Davis of Es-sington, and a granddaughter, Debra Mangold of Pike Creek, Wilmington, who had lived at home with her in Chesapeake City. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Chesapeake City.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Trinity United Methodist Church or Northern Chesapeake Hospice. ROBERT MILTON NASH, 49, of 1800 N. Broom Wilmington, died Wednesday of a heart attack at home. Mr. Nash was an independent truck driver and retired on disability four years ago.

He "was born in Richmond, and moved to the Wilmington area in 1975. He enjoyed reading, sports and driving trucks. Mr. Nash is 1 I MR. NASH survived by two daughters, Robin Smith and Laura Burstion, both of Richmond; four brothers, John Moore Jr.

of Florida, Tallies Moore of Elkton, Harry O. Nash of Cecilton, and Jerry Moore of Wilmington; five sisters, Shirley Nash, Maxine Nash Wilson, Deborah Moore and Con-cetta Barnett, all of Wilmington, and Cynthia Moore Martin of Smyrna; and three grandchildren. A service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Union Bethel AME Church, Cecilton, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Burial will be in Union Bethel Cemetery, Cecilton. SODEN SERVICE: A memorial service for Mataline M. Soden, 64, of rural Milford, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Atonement United Methodist Church, 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont. Mrs.

Soden, formerly of Claymont, died Friday. GEORGE W. STODDARD, 45, of Miami, formerly of Newark, died April 7 of heart failure in South Miami Hospital. Mr. Stoddard owned a moving company in Miami.

BUIGK LESABRE Helen Bingler Webber, who performed with the comedy team Bud Abbott and Lou Costello on Broadway, died Tuesday at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pa. She was 79. Mrs. Webber, of 802 Market Marcus Hook, was a chorus girl with Abbott and Costello on Broadway during the 1930s, before the team's first movie in 1941. The team nicknamed Mrs.

Webber "Bingo" because she enjoyed playing bingo, not after her family name, Bingler. She also worked as a chorus girl with Gypsy Rose Lee in the Ford Theater in Washington. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she MARY E. BLANN, 55, of Georgetown, formerly of Milton, died Tuesday of heart failure in Mil-ford Memorial Hospital. Mrs.

Blann was a homemaker. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed penny parties and yard sales. Her husband, Robert Lee Blann, died in 1993. She is survived by two daughters, Roxanne Dietrich of Georgetown and Penelope Honeycutt of Newark; two sons, Robert L. Blann Jr.

of Slaughter Beach and Wilbur K. udson Jr. of Bowers Beach; two sisters; and seven grandchildren. A service will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Milton, where friends may call at 7.

Burial will be private. ALICE M. BROWNMILLER, 38, of 511 Graves Road, Oxford, died Tuesday of a heart attack at the home of her father-in-law, Paul Brownmiller of Kiamensi Gardens, Stanton, Del. Mrs. Brownmiller's mother-in-law, Lois Brownmiller, died April 4, and she and her husband, Jack R.

Mrs. Brooks, a homemaker, enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and gardening. Born in Greensboro, N.C., she moved to the Wilmington area in 1955. Her husband of 38 years, Robert F. Brooks, died in 1977.

She is survived by a son, James R. of Littleton, four grandchildren and a great-grandson. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. todayin Gracelawn Memorial Park, North Du Pont Highway, Minquadale. There will be no calling hours.
