Coldiron, 25, and his brother, Allen Rich Coldiron, 31, were arrested late Tuesday and early Wednesday at their apartments in the complex on Paper Mill Road on Newark's north side, police said.

The raids resulted from an investigation by state and city police. A Newark police investigator, who declined to be identified because he continues to work undercover, said state police had received a tip Tuesday afternoon that trafficking in methamphetamine was occurring at the complex. Police searched Michael Col-diron's apartment Tuesday night at 11:40 and later said they found 20 grams of methamphetamine and a quarter-pound of marijuana. Police estimated the street value of the drugs at $1,240. They arrested Michael Coldiron at his home during the raid.

Further investigation linked his activities with those of his brother Allen, police said, and investigators searched Allen Coldiron's apartment at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday.
