Instructor is Hobart Watson of Oak Hill. The classes began in September and will run through May 1. The Monday night classes are taught for mine electricians. The students learn the use of mining machines and equipment and the electrical system of a mine. Wednesday night's students are those who wish to become certified by the State Department of Mines for firebosses and mine foremen.

Classes in mining have been taught by Watson since 1925. "A great number of the area mine officials were students in my classes," Watson said.
