MRS. CAROL COMPEAU and her father, L. G. Montgomery, show off some of the tasty pastries that they will be providing for residents of Deer Park at their newly opened shop, Rene's Pastry Shop, at 1723 Center Street, in Town Plaza Shopping Center. Mrs.

Compeau and her husband, Ernest, and her parents, L. G. and Helen Montgomery, are the owners of Deer Park's own pastry shop that will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

They plan to feature 1 donuts, cakes, pies, cookies, fresh breads, specialties, etc. Grand opening for the new shop will be held Friday and Saturday, Jan. 15 and 16. Women will meet at 7:30 p.m. each Tuesday throughout the spring and the men will meet each Wednesday at the same time.

Fee for use of the facilities is $11, with a $5 parking permit if needed. Registration was held this week, but those interested, may still register on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. SEPTEMBER The Planning and Zoning Commission held a preliminary public hearing to give property owners a chance to voice their opinions on the proposed changes and amendments to the Zoning Ordinances and Zoning Map. About 350 voiced opposition to the changes and one man said he did not oppose them.
