Bates, 52, of 56 Welsh Tract Newark, died Sunday at the Newark Emergency Room after a long illness. He was a retired dry cleaner. He is survived by his wife, Norma a son, Ronald at home; a daughter, Barbara J.

McQueen of Bloom field Hills, and his mother, Olive Bates of East Detroit, Mich. Service will be tonight at 8 at the William J. Warwick Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark where friends may call an hour earlier. Interment will be in Wood-lawn Cemetery, East Detroit.

Services will also be held in Detroit Thursday night. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to the Delaware Heart Association, Independence Mall. Ernest Sullivan FEDERALSBURG, Sullivan, 98, of Federalsburg, died Sunday at the Belle Haven Nursing Home, Hurlock, after a short illness. He was an employe of the Wilm-er Fell Davis Feed co. His wife, Lula died in 1931.

He is survived by three sons, George L. of Waterbury, Lee of Preston, and Robert of Federalsburg; two daughters, Elizabeth Gray of Bridgeville, and Katherine Daffin of Federalsburg; a half-sister, Margaret Sullivan of Federalsburg; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Services will be tomorrow afternoon at the Williamson Funeral Home, Federalsburg, where friends may call tonight. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Federalsburg. A.

Donnell Marshall PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. A. Donnell Marshall, 67, of Hollow Birchrunville, near Phoenix-ville, died Saturday in the Bryn Mawr Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Milton, Del. He was a retired commander of the United States Naval Reserve.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Lyster Marshall, and a son, C. William, at home. Memorial services will be held in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Pennsylvania 100 and 401, Lud-wigs Corner, Thursday morning at 11. Interment will be in Arlington (Va.) National Cemetery.

John Gerald Hudson Sr. John Gerald Hudson 69, of 1625 Gilpin Lincoln Tower Apartments, died Sunday in Delaware Division following a short illness. He was a mechanic with Van's Chevrolet Inc. until his retirement in 1970. He is survived by his wife, Martha a son, John Gerald Jr.

of Richardson Park; a daughter, Shirley Robinson of Cornwells Heights, his mother, Rosa Lee Henderson of Phoenix, Ariz. a brother, William Joseph Hudson, also of Phoenix; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Services will be tomorrow afternoon at 1 at the Gracelawn Chapel, Gracelawn Memorial Park. Friends may call tonight at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 531 Delaware New Castle. Paul H. Billingsley Paul Harvey Billingsley, 74, of 5116 Ellington Western Springs, 111., formerly of River Wilmington, died Sunday in Community Hospital, La Grange, 111., after an illness of 3 months. Mr. Billingsley retired in 1966 from the purchasing department of ICI America, after 25 years os service. His wife, Edna Marie, lied in 1964.

Surviving are a son, Robert T. of Western Springs; two brothers, Daniel F. of Wilmington and George A. of Bellefonte; and three grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered tomorrow morning at 10 in St.

Hoopes Charles N. Hoopes, 83, of the Home For Aged Women-Minquda-dale Home, 1109 Gilpin died yesterday in Memorial Division after a short illness. Mr. Hoopes was a retired photographer, retiring in 1950. His wife, Gertrude Brooks Hoopes, died in 1956.

There are no immediate survivors. Services will be tomorrow afternoon at 1 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 24th and Market where friends may call an hour earlier. Evelyn B. Brown Evelyn B. Brown. 60, of 203 Riverview Claymont, died Saturday in Tilton Terrace Nurs' ing Home, 801 N. Broom after a long illness.

She was a secretary for the Maple LaneElementary School, Claymont. She is survived by her husband, George two sons, George R. of Log Run and Richard B. of Holly Oak Terrace; a daughter, Diane Goodell of El Paso, Tex. a sister, Dorothy Hoopes of Claymont Garden and four granddaughters.

Erika Loewenstein Erika Loewenstein, 92, of 8 Rit-ter Lane, Newark, died Sunday in St. Francis Hospital after a short illness.

Her husband, Ernst, died in 1942. She is survived by a son, Fritz, with whom she lived, four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1925 Lovering 19806. was identified as Shirley Marcus, 35.

She was admitted to UCLA Medical Center with a wound in her neck. Molinas, a former star basketball player at Columbia University and with the National Basketball Association's Fort Wayne Pistons, was convicted in 1953 of trying to fix the outcome of a game between North Carolina State and Wake Forest in 1959. He was convicted on five counts stemming from the scandal and sentenced to from 10-15 years in prison. He was also disbarred from his law practice. Molinas was arrested again in 1973 in Los Angeles on charges of shipping pornographic films interstate, from Los Angeles to Memphis.

Lehman, of 1903 N. Union Wilmington, died yesterday morning in Delaware Division after a short illness. Her age was not disclosed. Mrs. Lehman retired in 1956 from the personnel department of the Penn Central railroad.

Her husband, Lawrence died in 1971. LOS ANGELES (AP) Jack Molinas, the major figure in a college point-shaving scandal and later in a National Basketball Association betting scheme in the 1960s, was shot in the back of the head and killed, Molinas' father said yesterday. Louis J. Molinas, contacted at his Brooklyn home, said he had learned his son was shot to death while standing on the patio of his luxurious Hollywood Hills home. A woman with the younger Molinas was seriously wounded when an unknown gunman opened fire on them. Police identified the dead man as Jacob Molinas, 43', soon after the shooting early Sunday.
