George McDermott LEWES J. George McDermott, 59. of Lewes Beach, died yesterday at Kent General Hospital, Dover, after an apparent heart attack. Mr. McDermott, formerly of Wilmington, was a retired architect and engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Genevieve a son, John C. of Arundel near Wilmington; four daughters. Kathleen sheppard of Canterbury; Mary Johnson of Virginia Beach, Elizabeth Mulrine of near Wilmington and Emma Prinski of Woodshade; and four grandchildren. Mass will be offered Monday morning at 10:30 at Christ Our King church, 28th and Madison Wilmington. Friends may call at the Doherty-Wicker-sham Funeral Home, 1900 Delaware Wilmington, tomorrow night.

Interment will be in St. Joseph's-on-the-Brandywine Cemetery. Charles E.Coursey BARCLAY, Elwood Coursey, 88, of Barclay, died yesterday at the Kent and Queen Anne's Hospital, Chestertown, after a long illness. His wife, Eva May Coursey, died in 1967. He was a retired Barclay postmaster.

He is survived by two sons; Charles W. of San Franciso, and Francis C. of Magnolia, a daughter, Mary Ann Casey of Barclay; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services will be tomorrow afternoon at 2 at the Edward Fellows Son Funeral Home, Millington. Interment will be in Sudlersville Cemetery.

Until his retirement in 1971, Mr. Davis was the owner and operator of Davis Hardware in Chestertown. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth M. Davis; a brother, J. Wamsley of Philadelphia, and two sisters, Rebecca Davis and Cornelia Davis, both of Chestertown.

Services will be tomorrow afternoon at 2 at the First Methodist Church, Chester-town. Friends may call tonight at the Marvin V. Williams Funeral Home, Chestertown. Interment will be in Chester Cemetery. Elwood J.

Tatman BRIDGEVILLE Elwood J. Tatman, 77, of near Bridge-ville, died yesterday in Milford Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Tatman was a retired farmer. He never married.

Lottie M. Tucker BRIDGEVILLE Lottie M. Tucker, 62, of near Bridgeville, died yesterday in Baltimore City Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Tucker was divorced.

She is survived by three sons, Avery Jr. and James both of Greenwood, and Levin, of Bridgeville; a daughter, Lucinda Huey of Bridgeville; a brother, James Paul Joseph of Bridgeville, and 14 grandchildren. Sophia Williams DOVER Sophia Williams, 70, of near Dover, died yesterday in Courtland Manor Nursing Home, Saulsbury after a short illness. Interment will be in Newark Cemetery. Herman W. Davis Herman W. Davis, 74, of 111 N. Rodney died yesterday in General Division after a short illness.

Mr. Davis was a retired maintenance man. He had worked at the Eugene du Pont Memorial Division. He is survived by his wife, Lillie J. Davis; a brother, Clifford Hall of Delmar; three sisters, Helen Hill, Bertie Figs and Jennie Elott, all of Salisbury, 17 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.

Nichols, 82, of 7 Linden Elsmere, died Thursday in General Division after a short illness. Her husband, Thomas M. Nichols, died in 1960. She is survived by three sons, Arthur F. of Denton, Thomas M.

Van Burkalow HAVERTOWN, Pa. Caleb Sipple Van Burkalow, 76, of 136 Walnut Hill Lane, died Thursday in Youngstown, Ohio, while visiting relatives. Mr. Van Burkalow operated an automobile insurance agency. He was born in Magnolia, Del.
