4, 1990. He retired from Akron Canton Youngstown Railroad in 1975 with 38 years service. He moved from Cuyahoga Falls to Phoenix, in 197. He was a life member of the Akron Traffic Club, and a member of the Crossroads Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; daughter, Beverly Shaffer of Scofts-dale, son, Brian of Tacoma, two grandchildren; and sister, Imogene Austen.

Services were held today in Phoenix, Ariz. John Henry Webb John Henry Webb, 86, died Jon. 4. He was born in Hortwell, and was a former resident of Akron. He was a member of the Hart well, Methodist Church, and formerly operated Walsh Tobacco Shops in Akron.

Mr. Webb was preceded in death by brother, Charles B. "Pat" Webb; and is survived by sisters, Louise M. Frank of Akron and Myra ViaH of Bath. Graveside services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m.

White NORTH CANTON Mary J. White, 85, passed away Jan. 4 at Sarah F. Sprouse WADSWORTH Sarah F. Sprouse, 93, died Jan.

4 at Barberton Citizens Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Lewis County, W. Mrs. Sprouse resided in Wadsworth for eight years, previously residing in Weston, W. Va.

She was employed as a clerk at the Hurst Post Office, retiring in 1961. She was a member of Vadis United Methodist Church, and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and quilting. Mrs. Sprouse is survived by daughters, Cecil Groah of Weston, W. Theda Cutright of Wadsworth Township; sons, Robert of Wadsworth, Oran of Weston, W.

18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; sister. Toady Heater of Jane Lew, W. Va. She was preceded in death by husband, Nathan daughters. Mono Dennison and Virginia Burke; son, Theron; three brothers; and three sisters.

The family will receive friends Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Floyd Funeral Home in Weston, W. where services will be held Sunday, 1:30 p.m. Interment at Carder Cemetery in Vadis, W. Va. Contributions may be made to your favorite charity.

(Hilliard Cox Mullaney, 334-1501.) Mary Jesel BRADY LAKE Mary Jesel, 76, of Erie Street, Brady Lake, died Friday at the home of her daughter in Stow. She was born Nov. 10, 1913 in McKeesport, to Michael and Helen Oros. She came to the area from Brooklyn, N. in 1956.

She was a cook at the Kent Lanes, and in 1988 retired from the Fiesta Restaurant. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church. She is survived by her sons, William C. Jr.

of Kent and Henry A. of Portersville, daughters, Pat Bal-ko of Stow and Mary Ann Jesel of Kent; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Tom Oros and Jim Oros, both of Ravenna, John Oros of Brady Lake; sisters, Theresa Kohler and Vera Davis, both of Naples, Helen Matison of McKeesport, and Irene Longell of Reno, Nev. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Julia Vosar (her twin), Ann Landis and Elda Markam; and her grandson, Stephen Balko. Calling hours will be held 5 to 9 p.m.

Monday at the Bissler Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard's Church in Akron. Burial will be at Standing Rock Cemetery.
