Maurice P. Richter, El Zaribah Temple, Phoenix. Peru Halts All Hard Currency Exchange LIMA, Peru -The government's central bank Friday suspended trading in hard currencies, including the U. S. dollar, until such time as the exchange rate can be stabilized.

The bank attributed its action to recent strong demand for hard currencies which it termed abnormal. It said that stabilizing exchange rates would serve to discourage speculation. The measure was taken after various weeks of fluctuations which, the bank said, were not justified either by economic or import exchange needs. Present rate of the Peruvian sole to the U. S.

dollar is 26.85. Heights 'Y' Taking Class Registrations Registrations will be accepted at the Heights Branch YMCA, 4901 Indian School NE, for classes in ballet, tap and teenage dance classes, includling jazz and modern dance, Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. Mrs. Mary Jane Bird will instruct the classes, open to all school-age children. U.S. Discounts Report Missile Fell in Mexico MEXICO CITY (UPI) -The American Embassy Friday discounted a local press report a U.S. guided missile had fallen on Mexican soil south of Yuma, Ariz. The afternoon newspaper "El Diario de la Tarde" made the report from San Luis Colorado in Sonora state. It said the missile was about 10 feet long but was without a war head.

The newspaper quoted technicians as saying the missile was one used in target practice. Gymnastics Class Tryouts Scheduled Tryouts will be conducted Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. at Heights Branch YMCA, 4901 Indian School NE, for a girls advanced gymnastics class. Graham Bartlett will teach the class, open to all girls 11 years and older. Both members and non-members are invited to try out.

The class will begin Sept. 16, with weekly sessions from 10 to noon Saturdays through Dec. 16. Tryouts will include skill on bars, beam and tumbling. The top 10 girls in the tryout session will be selected for membership in the class.

Howard Church of the Annunciation was the scene of the wedding of Miss Elena Calvillo-Capri and George Ellsworth Howard with the Rt.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Jose Calvillo, 2408 Rhode Island NE, and Mexico City. Calvillo is with the Mexican Embassy in Cuba. The bridegroom is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. J. E. Howard, Lovington. The bride was attired in a princess style gown of silk organza and alencon lace.

Her veil was held in place by a headpiece of orange blossoms. Miss Guadalupe Ruiz Matamoros of Mexico City was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Howard, sister of the and Miss Dinorah bridegroom, Puig, Havana, Cuba. Best man Joel Howard, brother of the bridegroom, and Luis Calvillo Capri, brother of the brdie, was head usher. Mark Howard and John Campbell of Lovington were ushers.

Other members of the wedding party were Miss Alina Puig, Havana, Richard Carvil, San Francisco, and Terry Edward Lamm, Kansas City. The couple is to be at home in Albuquerque. Mrs. Howard, a graduate of the University of New Mexico, with a B.A. in English, will teach at St.

Vincent's Academy. Howard, holder of a B. S. in mathematics from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, is doing graduate work at UNM. Today's Events The couple will reside Lawton, where Humphrey is stationed with the Army at Ft.

Sill. Mrs. Humphrey was employed, prior to her marriage, by Wyatt's Cafeteria. Square Dancers Having Classes for Beginners Y's Crackers Square Dance Club is sponsoring a class for beginning square dancers, scheduled to start Sept. 8 and run for 20 weeks.
