50 Te AAorning News, Wilmington, Thursday, Feb. 12, 1976 who, where when engagements Michele Schiavoni, a junior in arts and sciences of 504 Argyle Road, Drexel Hill, earned first place in the Lincoln-Douglas Debates section. Bonnie J. Knoll, of 50 Martin Ephrata, won a third in persuasive speaking. Misses Fish and Schiavoni will take part in regional competition in Philadelphia this spring.

The program is a project of the Speech Communication Association and is supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Jane Ippolitti of Chester, treasurer. Gretchen Morgan of Newark and Elaine Linton of Wilmington were named boatp members-at-large. 2 Membership in the club is open to all cat fanciers and breeders. The next monthly meeting is Sunday at 7:30 at the home of member Pat Lynch, 1530 Yagle Proi-' pect Park, Pa. Eagle Scouts Michael Troxell, 14, a member of Boy Scout Troop No. 537, which meets in the Church of the Hoiy Child, received his eagle scout award Feb. 7. He is in the eighth grade at Talley Jr. High School and is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Alden Troxell, 2605 Cayuga Road, Dartmouth Woods. John F. Brady, 16, a member'cf Boy Scout Troop No. 342, which meets in St.

Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, received his eagle scout award February 8. He is a junior at Salesianum School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Brady of 213 Welwyn Road, Mr.

and Mrs. Robert G. Burns of Wilmington announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Marie Burns, to David Thomas Woodward, son of A. Diane Woodward of Wilmington and Joseph P. Woodward of Wilmington.

Taylor of New Castle. An August wedding is planned. Cat Club Chairman John C. Townsend of 2 Grant Silview, has been elected chairman of the 20th Representative District Democratic Committee. Other officers elected are: Rose Richardson, vice chajrman; Mrs.

Joe Pribish, secretary and John Sullivan, treasurer. Barber board Louis D. Maura of Green Acres has been elected president of the Delaware Board of Barber Examiners. Other officers for 1976 are: Leroy Gaines of Brandywine Hills, vice president; and Richard Shultie of Harrington, secretary. Mauro and Gaines were elected to their third consecutive terms.

Speech contest Allison Lee Fish, 115 Quintynnes Drive, Wilmington, has won first in the persuasive speaking division of the Bicentennial Youth Debates Sectional Tournament at the University of Delaware. Miss Fish, a senior in arts and sciences, was one of three Delaware students to win a top prize in the Jan. 31 tournament. Favreau-Seaman Mr. and Mrs.
