The game, which gave the Normal their first victory this season, opened with the home team's first touchdown drive. Taking the pigskin on the first play after the kickoff, Stevens, Normal halfback, dashed through the field for 22 yards, ahd a series of running plays and power drives sent the ball across the Adams' goal. Soon afterward Smith, another Normal back, slipped away for a 66-yard run to the Adams' five-yard line and Stevens went over on the next play. Both tries for the extra point failed.

The remaining three quarters were scoreless, and the Adams eleven, finding themselves, stopped the Normal's offensive drives time and time again. The Invaders, however, could not gain and most of the play was in midfleid. 16-yard Una and marched to the Institute 40 by line plunges, Pals and Deakins alternating, and a pass, Deakins to Pals, was good for 0 yards to aid. Deakins, Dlnelll and Pals swept through on line bucks to the Cadet IT, and the forward and lateral passes put the ball over. The Cadet line tightened, and the levena rocked Jn mid-field until the end of the quarter, and exchange of punts, keeping both out of scoring position.

Second Quarter Opening the second quarter, the Institute fullback, St. John, fumbled on the second play and the University took the ball on their own 38, but lost it in a few minutes when one of Dennard's punts was blocked and recovered by E. Malcolm, Cadet half. Again the Cadet attack waa Ineffective and they lost on downs. The Lobos likewise were stopped short of a first down and punted to the Cadet 45.

Another fumble, this one by Ilonochlck, Cadet Powerhouse, lost them the ball on the first play, Cropley recovering. A pass, peaklna to Dingwall was good for 10 yards. A three-way forward and lateral Deakins to Bowyer to Livingston, put the ball on the 1-yard line and Dlnelll was over to core. The Institute took to the air, fiell failed to function fast enough to score. Bulldogs Threaten Once Albuquerque threatened once, after line plays and a pass, Pappan to Echohawk, had put ths ball on the Demon 8-yard line.
