Pneumonia death laid to collision GEORGETOWN Clyde Pettyjohn, 83, of Elizabeth Street, Georgetown, died yesterday of pneumonia at Beebe Hospital, Lewes, where he had been since an automobile accident Sept.

27. State police said Mr. Pettyjohn will be considered a highway fatality because the pneumonia was a direct result of injuries suffered in the accident. They said that he had suffered a broken hip in the crash at N. Front and Alfred Georgetown, and the injury had made it impossible for him to move around.

The immobility brought on the pneumonia, police said. Mr. Pettyjohn's death raises the state highway death toll for the year to 111 compared with 134 a year ago. Mr. Pettyjohn was a retired farmer and had lived in the Milton area 55 years before moving to Georgetown in 1968.

In addition to his widow, Mrs. Lillie E. Pettyjohn, 82, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Rodney R. Rust of Georgetown, and two brothers, Howard P.

and Linford and two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Hastings and Mrs. Harry B. Dorman, all of Milton. Services will be Sunday afternoon at 2 in the Dodd-Carey Funeral Home in Georgetown where friends may call tonight.

Interment will be in the Union Cemetery. Old drop-out to get degree OXFORD, Ohio (UPI) Mrs. Kittie M.B. Harvey, 109, Minneapolis, who dropped out of Western College for women here 93 years ago, will receive a bachelor of arts degree today. William Spencer, college president, said the presentation would take place at Mrs.

Harvey's home in Kansas. Spencer said "Aunt" Kittie had to leave Western in 1878 because of ill health.
