1954 ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL Page Nine Miss Eichholtz Is Bride of Mr. Campbell Journal Special LIL LAS Cille CRUCES Eichholtz, Las Miss Cruces, Connie became the bride of Mr. Walter Hugh Campbell, Albuquerque, in a double ring ceremony solemnized Sunday, 4, at 3 p.m. the First Baptist Church here with Rev. Jack DeVore officiating.

Mrs. Campbell is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Conrad Eichholtz of Mesilla Park. Parents of groom, Mr.

and Mrs. John Fred Campbell, 2407 General Marshall St. NE, Albuquerque, were present for the wedding. The bride was attired imported organdy over bridal white, the formal skirt having soft fullness, the bodice trimmed with lace embroidery, the long sleeves coming to petal points at the wrist, and seed pearls outlining the neck. Her fingertips veil was of illusion with pearl-trimmed crown.

She was given in marriage by her father. Miss Nancy Eichholtz was her sister's maid of honor, wearing green organdy over taffeta, bal-. lerina length, with matching mitts and hat, green linen shoes, and carrying a nosegay of yellow daisies. Bridesmaids were Miss Shirley Bullard and Miss Jerean Martin. Allen Campbell, brother of the groom, was best man; Don Campbell, another brother, was usher with Paul Blackmore.

Among the out-of-town guests were the groom's parents and brothers from Albuquerque, Mr. and Mrs. Don Campbell and daughter, Mary Louise, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pendleton and Mrs.

Fred Campbell all of Albuquerque. Summerhouse To Open New Play Tonight Opening tonight at the Summerhouse theater in the San Felipe Hotel is Hatcher Hughes' Pulitzer prizewinning play of the comic side of backwoods religYous fanaticism, "Hellbent For Heaven." Sponsoring tonight's performance will be the Auxiliary to the Central New Mexico Assn. of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, of which Mr. W. D.

Andrews is secretary. In the cast, Summerhouse patrons will see Robert Vaughn as the deluded fanatic, Rufe; Anne Shannon as Meg Hunt: Mark Land as Andy Lowry, and John Hackett as Sid Hunt, who falls victim to Rufe's fiery talk. Others will include Shirley Dorsett at Jude: Richard Herbine as the grandfather, and Albert Gallo as Sid's father. Robert Vaughn also will direct the play which will run through July 18 at the theater. Reservations may be made by calling the theater box office.

Miss Universe Hopefuls Arrive LOS ANGELES (INS) The vanguard of some 80 international beauties slated compete for the third annual "Miss Universe" title at Long Beach round of sightseeing in the Los Angeles area Monday. 150 Are Expected For Band, Choral Clinic at UNM Some 150 students from New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Texas and California will High School Band and Choral Clinic at the University of. New Mexico July 15-24, according William R. Rhoads, director. Registration for the musicians will be Thursday morning, July 15, and the organization and first rehearsals will begin that afternoon. An outstanding faculty headed by Dr.

David Foltz, chairman of the music department at the Prof. Clarence diUniversity of Nebraskan, and rector of bands at UCLA, will work with the student musicians. The daily schedules will include band and chorus rehearsals, sectional rehearsals, private lessons, dance band, theory classes, twirling instruction, and teachers, recitals and recreseminars for, graduate students ation activities. A final concert will be held on July 23 to which the public will be invited. Time and place will be announced later.
