Sept. 11 There was an invasion of skeetrr at the Atlantic City rare course this afternoon but ihey were of the welcome variety. These skeeters were members of the theatrical club of that nam? who aniuislly isit this and o'her eastern tracks.

As per custom the feature race was named in tl.eir honor and at the end it was Carolyn K. Stable's Mamil and Jorkey Jack Leonard who took the curtain calls. Maymil did not reach serious contention until the half-mil pole. Prince Killer and Paula's Tex were away on the lead when slipped on the rail and took command. Leonard hustled Maymil riiht along and the ti-year-nld Billings mare moved to the front hut was all out to hold Irmuem safe.

The latter came on and only missed by the slim margin of a neck. Old LanRley Third Old Langley. longest prirc horse on the board, made a bold rush in the home stretch and finished third under the light impost of 103 pounds. This was the second victory of the meeting for Mavmil who paid $6.40. S3.

40 and S3. 00. Ima-(tem, second choice of the 12. 9(13 fans, returned $4.20 and $3 40. with backers of Old Lansley pickinj up $11 60 to show.

The winner was clocked in 1:52 for the nine-furious: jaunt. Today's modest daily double of $31.80 resulted from victories by Lubrette and Fondness. At the end of today's races. Leonard had ridden two winners, while Bobby Corle had ridden three winners. THIRD R4XE-Purse 13.300 1 10 I I 9-4 3 3 1 3' 8 14 5.
