Ardes, 69, of Elkton, MD, passed away in her sleep in her home on Sunday, February 21, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Born March 20, 1945 in Manchester, England. She was cared for throughout her illness by her husband, Joseph Ardes; they were married 53 years. She is a Native of Delaware County, PA. She loved her animals and garden.

She worked tirelessly for Pennies In Action. She will be missed by her friends and family. Her sister, Denise Platt was instrumental in helping Elaine ght cancer. She is survived by her husband, Joseph, daughters, Susan Hignutt, Christine Paulino, Teresa Zadorzany; son Timothy Ardes; and her grandchildren, Josua, Christopher, Sean, Taylor, Zachery, Sarah, Julian; and two great grandchildren. Services will he held privately at the request.

ELAINE P. ARDES AGE: 70 ELKTON Paul Badowski, 45 of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Heartland Hospice House. Paul was born in Newton, NJ, the son of the late Ann (Gallagher) and Walter Badowski. He graduated from Stockton State College and worked for over 20 years for Solenis, the last 4 years in Delaware as a senior lab tech. He was an avid softball player and a big fan of the New York Jets and Yankees.

Paul is survived by his sister, Caroline Badowski and her husband, Scott Christy of Cumberland, RI and many cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 2 PM at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington where friends may call after 1 PM. Burial will be private.
