News, Wilmington, Md. Tuesday, February 6, 1968 Obituaries Harvey E. Smith Harvey E. Smith, 87, of 908 Redman Haddonfield, N.J., died Sunday in Cooper Hospital, N.J., after a short illness. was the husband of the late Viola Dare Smith.

Smith was born in New Castle and lived in the Wilmington area for many years before moving to Haddonfield. He was a past master of Eureka Lodge and a high priest of Delta Chapter, RAM. He was also a member of the Delaware Consistory. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Robert J.

Hunn of Newark, Mrs. Frank Gregg of Haddonfield, Mrs. George Greenwood of Pocomo, Mrs. William Martin of Edgemoor Terrace and Mrs. Charles McKeon of North Springfield.

nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held tomorrow morning at 11 at St. Georges Cemetery, St. Georges. The family requests that flowers be omitted.

There will be no viewing. Elmer Lofland PHILADELPHIA, Pa. Elmer Lofland, 71, died yesterday at Temple University Hospital, here, after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home at 3230 N. Broad St. was a native of Sussex County and had been employed for 35 years as a distiller with Barrett's Allied Chemical Co.

of Philadelphia before his retirement. Mr. Lofland was a veteran of World War 1. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Flood of Bridgeville, Del.

and Mrs. Caroline Anderson of Seaford, and three brothers, John F. of Port Hueneme, and Harry and Fred, both of Bridgeville. Services will be Thursday afternoon at 1 at Hardesty Funeral Home, Bridgeville, where friends may call tomorrow night. Interment will be in Bridgeville Cemetery.

Mrs. William Tawlson REHOBOTH BEACH Mrs. Mary Major Tawlson, 85, of here, widow of William Tawlson, died yesterday in Beebe Hospital, Lewes, after a short illness. She is survived by two sons, Harry W. Major of Rehoboth Beach and Roman W.

Major of Brookhaven, N.Y.) one brother, William Miskosky of Patchogue, N.Y.; four sisters, Mrs. K. Smooth of Patchogue, Mrs.C. Gillespie of Brookhaven, Mrs. E.

Davis of Amityville, N.Y., and Mrs. W. Truax of Youngstown, Ohio; and a niece, Mrs. Katherine Millane of Rehoboth Beach, with whom she mader home. Services will be Thursday afternoon at 2 at Page Melson Funeral Home, Rehoboth Beach.

Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow night. Interment will be in Epworth Cemetery, Rehoboth Beach. Hermus C. Cordrey HEBRON, Md. Services for Hermus C.

Cordrey, 82, of here will be this afternoon at 1:30 at Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury. Interment will be in Parsons Cemetery. Mr. Cordrey, a retired farmer, was born in Hebron and was a member of Nelsons Memorial Methodist Church, Hebron, where he formerly taught the men's Bible class. Surviving are his widow, Mrs.

Ethel S. Cordrey; two sons, Richart T. of Salisbury and Edward B. of Hebron; a brother, B. Harold of Laurel, a sister, Mrs.

Cora Phillips of Laurel; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He died Saturday at Peninsula General Hospital, Salisbury, after. a short illness. Mrs. Henry Jones BISHOPS HEAD, Md.

Services for Mrs. Hennie Windgate Jones, 54, of Bishops Head, will be- this afternoon at 2 at Le Compte Funeral Home, Cambridge. Interment will be in Woman, 78, is fatally stricken Mrs. Mae Dixon, 78, was fatally stricken at her home, 809 Madison yesterday. Mrs. Jones, a long-time employe of Goose Creek Seafood Co. at Toddville, was born in Bishops Head and was a member of St. Thomas Methodist Church, Bishops Head, and its Women's Society for Christian Service. She was a member of the women's auxiliary of LakesStraits Fire Company.

Surviving are her husband, Henry Jones; a daughter, Mrs. Faye Jones of Bishops Head; a sister, Mrs. Massie Jones of Bishops Head, and a granddaughter. She died Sunday at Cambridge- Maryland Hospital, Cambridge, after a long illness. Mrs.

Archie Morris CHESWOLD-Mrs. Lela Morris, 61, died at her home here Friday after a long illness. Survivors include her husband, Archie Morris, a Dover city employe; one son, William K. of Dover; her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs.

William H. Morgan, Cheswold; two brothers, Nelson Morgan, New York City, and Harry Morgan, Dover; a sister, Mrs. Nora Pierce, Monroeville, N.J., and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be tomorrow afternoon at 1 in the Immanuel Union Methodist Church, Cheswold, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Torbert Funeral Home tonight and tomorrow morning until noon.

Mrs. Joseph Perrone HARRINGTON Mrs. Sadie Perrone, 82, of 201 Dorman died yesterday at her home after an apparent heart attack. Her husband, Joseph Perrone, died in August 1965. She was employed by the Ace Dress Manufacturing Co.

for 20 years and retired inn 1959. Surviving are a son, Tony of Harrington; a daughter, Miss Mary Perrone of Harrington; a brother, Marino Trabonie of Naples, Italy, and a grandson. Requiem Mass will be offered Thursday morning at 10 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Harrington. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, near Harrington.

Friends may call tomorrow night at J. Millard Cooper Funeral Home, Harrington. Rosary will be recited Thursday morning at 9 at the funeral home. Isaac S. Stanbaugh REHOBOTH BEACH Isaac S.

Stanbaugh, 92, of here, a retired contractor and builder, died yesterday in Beebe Hospital, Lewes, after a short illness. Formerly of York, he was a member of St. Stevens Reform Church, York. He lived in Rehoboth Beach the past 20 years. His wife, Mrs.

Goldig Stanbaugh, died many years ago. He is survived by a son, Dr. Ervin L. of Rehoboth Beach; three brothers, Norman, Harry and Theophilus, all of York; a sister, Mrs. Oscar May of York; two grand-children and four great grand-children.

Services will be Thursday morning at 10 at the Robert F. Koller funeral home, York. Friends may call at the Page Melson Funeral Home, Rehoboth Beach tonight and at the Robert F. Koller Funeral Home tomorrow night. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, West York, Pa.

Copter lands at Jersey farm PEDRICKTOWN, N.J. Mechanical troubled forced a large (jet-powered U.S. Air Force helicopter down here while it was on a routine flight form McGuire, Air Force Base, near Trenton to Washington, D.C. Members of the crew told spectators a manlunction on the motor prompted setting the craft down Saturday on the farm of Howard Justice on Straughen Mill Road, a short distance from the First Baptist Church. Scores of spectators were attracted to the location Sunday as a replacement motor was brough to the scene and a team of mechanics installed it.

The craft made several practie takeoffs, but was still at the farm yesterday getting a final tuneup.
