Speedy Enactment of Federal Slum Clearance Bill Is Aim Washington-(AP)-Senator Ellender (D-La) said yesterday he will ask Congress for "speedy enactment" of a new bill for federal slum clearance and low-rent housing. Local Students Spread Cheer Olean Red Cross Chairman Resigns Olean William Pritton, chairman of the Olean Chapter of the American Bed Cross has announced the resignation of Miss Evelyn Moore as chairman of the branch relations. Dominie Grassi Funeral Funeral services for Grassi, who died at Bradford' Hospital Mon'day, were held yesterday from the home, 33 Brennan St. at at 8:30 a. m. and with a Requiem Mass in the St. Bernard Church at 9 o'clock.

The Rev. Martin Grady, assistant pastor, officiated. Pallbearers were Angelo Pascarella, Dom Cuffini, Francis O'Hearn, Frank Guldo, Leo Ryan and Charles Weldy. Burial was made in the family plot in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Second Junior Hi-Y Club Is Formed Here Paul Carlson was elected as president at a meeting of boys held at the Y. M. C. A. Tuesday night forming a second Junior Hl-Y Club Other officers elected were Jay Risrautti, vlcepresident, Tim Griffin, secretary, and Sonny Peterson, treasurer.
