Fach given a plurality that mej and their Tr.ends are justified in pointing to with pride, demonstrating as it dfd the genuine feeling of voters of every party. So large was the lead given each of these candidates that for many weeks following the primaries it was Uipugm they were elected without tee necessity of going before the voters at the November election. The last session of the legislature made provision, to elect at the primaries candidates the judiciary who received such general support as was accorded Judges Orlady and Head and Mr. William" But a Question was raised a defeated candidate regarding the method of accurately determining trie fifty-one per cent, clause in the act, and the Daunhin court ruled that under the circumstances it would be the safest policy for the matter to be again submitted to the electors at the coming election.
