And like all good traditions, it makes sense: for the islands In the West Indies offer, without a doubt, the most romantic atmosphere in the world.

The island of Jamaica is possibly the most popular honeymoon spot in the Caribbean perhaps because the language spoken is English and because in addition to its natural attractions, it offers tempting bargains to shoppers and superb accommodation and service. First of all, Jamaica offers "something old" the quiet, old-world charm of a more relaxed way of life, an atmosphere which breathes the romance of the island's fascinating history. There is "something new" too, for honeymooners in Jamaica the luxurious hotels of the north coast, such as the famous Tower Isle, where rales are reduced by 40 per cent in the summer months to accommodate budget-wise young couples. There are no extra charges for movies, barbecue beach parties, Calypso dancing in the exotic Bamboo Room or under (he stars on the Plantation Terrace, or for the wide variety of land and water sports available. She was being tried first on charges that she filed a false statement of her firm's financial condition in her efforts to cover up shortages which were pyramiding as far back as 1946. She pleaded innocent and a jury was quickly chosen. Examiner William Patton testified that the 52-year-old former Sunday School teacher made an oral statement admitting a $2,000,000 theft and accounting for how she disposed of much of the money. Patton then identified a handwritten document as one which Miss Mangum signed admitting the theft. Miss Mangum, charged with draining the Commonwealth Building and Loan Association which employed her for nearly 28 years, listened attentively as Patton told of an interview with her last Dec.

The problem was cleared up through an arrangement or "stipulation" between U. S. Atty. Leonard G. Hagner, acting for the government, and the city of Dover, represented by City Manager G.

P. Ward. Judge Rodney ordered the land (.115 acres) returned with "all former right, title and interest revested" to the City of Dover. The "newest" portion of Dover is located in East Dover Hundred, along the Lebanon Causeway Road on a tract of land formerly known as the "Wharton Farm." The capital of Delaware has been undergoing "growing pains" for some time. But yesterday it grew geographically, not in the number of residents.

Dover is 5,009.4 square feet larger this morning than it was yesterday at the same time. U. S. District Court Judge Richard S. Rodney ordered the land returned to the city.

It was a portion of a 120 acre tract condemned by the government last June for additional expansion of the Dover Air Force Base. When the government brought suit at the request of the Undersecretary of the Air Force, last June 29, the court order of immediate possession gave the 120 acres to the Dover base.
