The three act comedy will be presented in the high school gymnaslum. It is built around the funny doings of the backwoods of the mountain country in the south. Members of the cast are Sherry Howell, Hurley Ford, Jo Marie Curtis, Ronnie Houben, Joe Fileshifter, Donna Fitzsimmons. Frank Cummings, Janet Fox, Larry Miller, James Cummings, Joanne Cantwell and Verona Mitchell. A billbilly band will be made up and will be under the direction of Mrs.

Wilds Mary Leffler, music instructor. Mrs. Anne J. Breck is directing the play. Thursday will be known as "blue Thursday." Report cards will be given out.

A Traffic Safety Education program will be held October 15 to 18. Pupils with licenses and permits will be tested with other pupils as observers. A testing course from five to seven miles has been mapped out and will be used with two dualcontrol cars. The student drivers will be rated according to a form worked out by Pennsylvania State College. The Tigers defeated the Fighting Leopards and the Midgets won over the Fighting Irish. Members of the kindergarten class recently visited the East Bradford fire station. The kindergarten has been awarded the Parent-Teacher Association banner for September. Larry Meserole, a pupil in the second grade, has returned to school after being absent because of illness. James Shuey and Donna Koch won a direction matching contest in the fourth grade last week. In a spelling bee, Delores Henderson won for the Blue team and John Wallimeris for the Red team.

Mt. Jewett Names Queen to Lead Halloween Parade By JUDIE de PONCEAU Mt. Jewett- A Hallowe'en Queen and two attendants were elected from the eighth grade last Friday, They will lead the Hallowe'en parade. The Queen and her attendants will be announced at a later date. A movie pertaining to famous people in the history of health was shown to sixth, seventh and eighth grade students on Thursday and Friday.

Fifth graders have made up display of clay models of boats. cars. and other small objects. The pupils have been making them at their homes and bringing them to school when finished. Friday the fifth graders enjoyed picnic during their lunch hour.

They chose teams and played softball. Dick Paar and Bonnie Johnson captained the two teams, Paar's team won. Fourth graders are studying the different trees and how to recognize them. They have gone on feral themselves hikes in with order the to various acquaint trees 1n the section.
