Dempsey "Jimbo" Age 43 of Wilmington, DE died suddenly of a heart attack on Tuesday, May 14, 2002. Mr.

Dempsey was the owner of Jim Dempsey Unlimited Construction. Jim was a graduate of Dickinson High School he was an avid sport fisherman, bowler and quite a NASCAR enthusiast. Jim had been a volunteer fireman. He was known by everyone as a very hard worker and a friend to all that knew him. He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his mother and father, Edwina Roche Dempsey and Herbert W. Dempsey, both of Wilmington; 2 sons, James Edward Dempsey, and Francis Glynn; 1 sister, Ruthann Sydnor and her husband Jay of Bear, DE; and his loving companion, Kathy Zachmann. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle and business associate, Paula and Uncle Jr of NJ. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. He was a custom homebuilder and developer of apartment complexes in Newark and then moved to the Ocean View area in the early 60s where he planned to retire. Of course, "re-. tire" was a word Peter never accepted. He started the Pine Tree campsite in Ocean which he owned and operated for 29 years.

The campground, which was his pride and joy, be-, came more of a family to him than a business. You may have spotted Pete riding the roads of: Ocean View in his green Dodge truck, smoking his pipe and sportin his Sussex County wave. He loved to chat and mingle with all the local folk and the summer tourists. There was no such thing as a stranger to him. He was a very humble man with, such a big neart.

Pete was also the previous owner of Magnolia's restaurant, known then as the Warehouse restaurant. He was a very busy man and was always on the go. While operating his business, he was also very ac. tive in community affairs. He helped out with the local Lions Club helping the needy, hurricane relief families and much more.

He was also one of the founders of the BethanyFenwick Chamber of Commerce. When he did have time for himself, his many passions included camping, traveling, being on his boat the "Playmate" and enjoying his winters in Fort Myers, FL. He is survived by his wife, Colleen Sagers; children, Kevin and Gary Sagers, both of Dagsboro, Keith Sagers of Rockaway, NJ, Diane Moses of Ocean View, Lisa Greenfield of Wilmington, Melanie Meligakes of Ocean View and Courtney Moore of Bronx, NY; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18th at 1 1 am in the chapel of MELSON FU' NERAL SERVICES on West Avenue in Ocean View, where friends may call on Friday evening, May 17th from 6-8 pm. Brown (Rob) Age 40, of San Francisco, CA, died early in the morning of May 12, 2002 in Death Valley, CA, as a result of a motorcycle dccidonti He was bom on April 12, 1962 in Wilmington, DE.

On January 13, 2001 he married Mera Gran-berg, who survives in San Francisco, CA. Mr. Brown was president and owner of Yamaha in Peta-luma, CA. In addition, he was a residential real estate developer in San Francisco. Previously Mr.

Brown was comptroller and vice President of operations at Sears oint Racewav in Sonoma, CA. While working for Sears Point Raceway, Mr. Brown was involved with a variety of projects for United Way and F.I.S.H. (Friends in Sonoma Helping). It was these charitable activities which led Mr.

Brown to organize the employees of his business, Yamaha, to participate in local volunteer projects in Keratoma. He was a longtime member of the Montgomery Street Motorcycle Club and served as the club's treasurer from 1999 to 2000. In addition to his wife, Mera Granberg Brown, other survivors include his mother and stepfather, Mr. Mrs. Charles Quarles of Hockessin, DE; his father, John P.W.

Brown III of Wilmington, DE; 1 sister, Catherine B. Sloan of East Greenwich, Rl; 1 brother, John P.W. Brown VI of Atlanta, GA; a nephew, James M.R. Sloan of Providence, Rl; 1 stepbrother, Mark C. Quarles of Paoli, PA; and 2 stepsisters, Mrs.

Barbara Milton of Plainfield, IN and Mrs. JoAnn P. Gardner of Ann Arbor, Ml. Mr. Brown was a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and economics.

He graduated from San Francisco State University with a master's degree in finance. Mr. Brown attended Wilmington Friends School and graduated from A.I. duPont High School in Wilmington. Sill, Sr. Age 74 of Kirkwood Gardens, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, May 15,2002. Mr. Sill was a general contractor for 40 years, retiring in 1990. GEBHART FUNERAL HOMES of New Castle County Margaret Ann Geldof (Beales) Age 71 of Wilmington, DE passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2002 after a courageous 8-year battle with cancer. She was born in Rochester, NY, daughter of Robert Nelson and Mae (Slocum) Beales. She was the 1948 valedictorian of East High School in Rochester, NY. She retired from Cable and Wireless Communications and was attending the Academy of Lifelong Learning in Wilmington.

She was a founding member of the Smithsonian Institute's National Museum of the American Indian. She traveled extensively throughout the southwest and was an avid reader and gardener. She was a loving motner, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her son, Lawrence B. and his wife, Rosemary C.

of West Chester, PA; son, David P. of Newark; daughters, Diane M. Giles of Newark, Lisa G. Mulligan of Wilmington; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Betty J.

Broom Wilmington, DE 19805. Arrangements by BELL MEMORIAL CHAPEL Kenton S. Marlin, Jr. Age 78 of Greenville, DE died at Riverside Transitional Care on Tuesday May 14, 2002. Mr.

Marlin earned his bachelors degree in Business Administration from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN in 1951. He was an U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving as a first lieutenant in the Pacific Theatre. He served in the US Air Force Reserves for many years and was honorably discharged with the rank of Major. He was a manager of employee relations for the DuPont Company for 38 years.

He was an avid golfer at the DuPont Country Club and the Wilmington Country Club. He was a former member of Al-dersgate United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Elizabeth (Thompson) Marlin; 2 sons, Jeffrey S. Marlin of Wilmington and Bradford S. Marlin and his wife, Linda Ayres Marlin of Bear; 1 sister, Joyce Marlin of Martinez, CA; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren, with another due any day.

The funeral service will be Saturday afternoon at 2 pm at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Sharpley, Wilmington. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1-2 pm.
