One of the high spots of the picture Is her singing of "Over the Kalnbow," a tune which has retained its popularity over the years.

JYank Morgan, as the Wizard, has nsver been funnier. And if you think you wont recognize Bay Bolger as the Scarecrow, Bert Lahr as the Cowardly Lion ana Jack Haley as the Tin Woodman, you'll be mistaken. They are the characters right out of the book, yet they retain their own personalities, with their songs and dances a distinct delight. splendid support are Billle Burke as Glinda the Good. Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch, Charley Grapewin as Uncle Henry and Clara Blandlck as Aunt Considering that "The Wizard of Ox" was directed by Victor Fleming, currently represented on the icreen by Ingrld Bergman's great tuccess, "Joan of Arc," and was produced by Mervyn LeRy, whose recent productions include "Little Women" and "Homecoming," it is easy to see way this musical remains one of the screen's finest creations.
