Sen, Myers Confident Local Flood Control Project Will Be Authorized A rcassuiing note was sounded Thursday by Sen Francis J. Myers (D-Pa) In commenting on the recent unfavorable repoifc returned by the Bureau of the Budget t'etaMve to proposed six-million dollar flood control project for the Bradford area. In a telegram to Kenneth Meyer, chairman of the Btadford District Flood Control Axithority, Sen. Myeis said: "I am confident this project will be authomed. $950,000 Paid for Share Held by Estate Of Leta Card Emery; Purchase Gives South Penn Ownership of Over 73 Pet. of Firm Purchase of the interest in the Quintuple Oil Company held fay the estate of Leta Card Emery, widow of Sen Lewis by the South Penn Oil for $950,000 was made public Thursday by George Hanks, South Penn president, Mrs. Emery, who died in 1941, obtained her interest from Senator Emery some tame before his death in 1924. Mrs. Emery's estate holdings In Quintuple OE company -were one- third of one-eighth royalty interest Now Owns 73 Percent The purchase now gives South Penn ownership of more than 73 percent of the so-called Quintuple Oil company.

Ten percent is owned by New York and San Francisco interests and the remaining 17 percent by heirs of W. R. Weaver, Mrs. L. E.

Hamsher, and Grace, Lewis and Earle Emery, most of whom were Bradford residents Quintuple Ofl.
