John T. Myers, R-Covington (incumbent) 9th District Rep. Lee H. Hamilton, D-Columbus INDIANAPOLIS (UPI) The following candidates will win automatic nomination to run for congressional seats next November as a result of being un D-Lafayette. 3rd District Virginia R.

Black, R-South Bend! 5th District Rep. Elwood opposed in the May 7 primaries: be in Greenwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today. Survivors include two daughters, Mrsr 'Judy- Wright; Lafayette, and Mrs.

Jennifer Hendricks, Indianapolis; two sons, Joseph Jordan, Peru, and John Jordan, Greenwood. surviving are his lather, Byron Jordan of Greenwood; one brother, Byron Jordan New York City; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine McDonald, Phoenix, Mrs. Betty Richey, Greenwood, and Mrs. Joan DeVore of Little Rock, Araknsas; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth (Parent) Jordan who died in 1970. William N. "Tenny" Jordan, 60, retired assistant postmaster from Greenwood passed away Thursday at his residence at 600 Woodale Terrace in Greenwood. Born on May 14, 1913, to Byron and Edna (Hoaghland) Jordan in Greenwood, he worked for 35 years in the Greenwood postal system. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenwood.

He was also a member of the Greenwood American Legion and the National Association of Post Office Supervisors. Services will be brld on Saturday at 3 p.m. at J.C. Wilson Greenwood Chapel. Burial will a member of the Whiteland Republican Women's Club.

Mrs. Hensley, who resides with her family in Needham township, is running a "serious" campaign. At a recent GOP party gathering in Franklin, Mrs. Hensley told party workers that, if elected, she would "not employ more people than necessary in the clerk's office, devoterfull timetothe clerk's office and continue to maintain legal records. Mrs.

Hensley, who is 26 years old, is the youngest of the three GOP county clerk candidates. Other races Other key GOP primary races include: County councilman-at-large a four-way race between R. Kenneth Andrews, Franklin; Ray F. Hendricks, Bargersville; Steve J. Lay, Franklin; and Jo Ann Rodgers, New Whiteland.

Andrews and Hendricks are incumbents. Pleasant township assessor a two-way race between Lowell E. Hants, Whiteland route one, and Greenwood city councilwoman and plan commission member Mrs. Alice I. Vernatter.

White River township assessor a two-way race between Mrs. Patricia Ann Sego, Bargersville route one, and incumbent Don 0. Harper, Greenwood. Franklin township Justice of the Peace a two-way race between Charles R. Littleton, Franklin route -one, and Donald M.

VanMeter, Franklin. There are also three delegate races and a race for precinct committeeman on the GOP primary ballot Tuesday. Nine delegates from Pleasant township to the state convention are to be selected from among the following 12 candidates: M. Ray Alishouse; George E. Bullock; Richard R.

Court, but any court proceedings on behilf of Condit will probably occur following' the primary election. The case has been venued into Shelby county. There are other key races in the upcoming Republican primary in Johnson county. They include the two-way race for Representative in the 52nd House district and the three-way race for Johnson County Clerk. Representative race In the 52nd statehouse district, incumbent Jack N.

Smitherman (R-Mooresville) is being challenged by Richard D. -Bray of Martinsville. Bray is the son of Sixth District Congressman William G. Bray and his wife, Esther. Four precincts in White River township will be involved in voting for the 52nd district Representative.

Bray, although his father is a known political figure in Johnson county, may have an "identity" problem to cope with in the four precincts in Johnson county where Smitherman has enjoyed vast party support in the past. Bray has been waging a "low- contest in White River township, according to county political Smitherman is campaigning on the strength of his activity during the past five terms in the Indiana House of Representatives. There are only three members in the House who have more experience than Smitherman. Smitherman, who supported the 1973 tax package which resulted in the local-option tax, believes that forced pupil busing is the main issue in the district. County clerk The county clerk's race in the Republican primary is between Greenwood City Council -president Dave Foster, New Whiteland real estate saleswoman Mrs.

Patricia C. Shaw and Mrs. Linda Kay Hensley of rural Franklin. Frances Melton is currently completing her second consecutive term as clerk and cannot run for a third straight term under Indiana law. Foster, who is employed by Western Electric, stated that he "wants to provide county residents with the same quality service that the5 clerk's office has given the public in the past." Foster, who is also a member of the Greenwood Plan Commission, said that, if elected, he would take a leave of absence from his present employment to fulfill the duties of the clerk's office.

Mrs. Shaw feels that the clerk's office provides "an opportunity to serve the people of Johnson county." She is a licensed real estate saleswoman and was formerly employed by the Edinburg State Bank. Main, Franklin NOMINATE TOM PRITCIIARD DEMOCRAT CANDIDATE Greenwood schools sued after accident i Over $28,000 is sought in a damage suit filed against the Greenwood Community School Corporation on behalf of a Greenwood high school student who was injured in a shop accident last year. The suit was brought in Johnson Circuit Court by Robert Reed Greenwood, on behalf of his son, Robert Reed Jr. It is alleged in the suit that on May 15, 1973, Reed lost the-ends of two fingers as a result of an accident in the high school shop. Reed was reportedly working in the shop after school hours and lost the ends of the fingers while working with a wood-working joiner. Named as defendants in the suit are Reed's shop instructor, Charles Warthan, and the school corporation.

It is alleged in the suit that through negligence on the part of the defendants, Reed was allowed to use the joiner without proper instruction. Reed is represented in the complaint by Franklin attorney Roy Li Dickinson. Total amount of damages sought in the suit is $28,239.50.
