PAGE THREE PTA at Lafayette Recalls Founding On Its Anniversary Presentation of a pageant "Lights, for Tomorrow" highlighted the program at the meeting of the Lafayette Parent-Teachers Association of the M. J. Ryan School at the School, Wednesday evening. The meeting was held the same day of the month as the founding of the organization, Feb 17, 1897.

Taking part in the pageant were Mrs. Betty Mountain, Joseph Sekelsky, Miss Jean KindJand, Gloria Lucas, Keith Mountain. Jane Mountain, Nelson Call, Gail Black and Mrs. Lloyd Call. Following the opening exercises, Mrs Clair Roberts, president, spoke' biiefly of the founding and origin of the association.

Plans were discussed for a project to finance the patrol boys trip to Washington. Mrs Ralph WeekJey reported on the County Council meeting at the West Branch School, Jan. 21 and read the report of Mis. Robeit Starkweather, another delegate at the session. The book award for attendance was won by the Eighth Grade The cake walk award was given to Mrs William Miller.
