Music By George Maksian New York Daily News After a war between Rona Barrett and Tom Snyder that lasted almost two months, with Miss Barrett returning to the Tomorrow show (12:30 a.m. Monday, Channels 3 and 21) on Jan. 2, Miss Barrett came out way ahead. NBC got rid of longtime producer Pam Burke, a thorn in Miss Barrett's back because Rona felt Ms. Burke favored Snyder.

Ms. Burke was replaced by Roger Ailes. Miss Barrett will have a greater participation on the program, which has been restructured and retitled Tomorrow Coast-to-Coast. Rona was the West Coast anchor and was supposed to on and close the program with Snyder anchoring in New York. When Snyder failed to introduce her at the start of the Nov.

10 telecast, she left the show. RONA HAS BEEN PROMISED equal billing with the credits reading: Starring Tom Snyder in New York and Rona Barrett in Hollywood. She will do celebrity interviews, on-location features and report on the entertainment industry. She also will have a voice (with Snyder) in planning each night's telecast with the producer. According to Ailes, it will be a more structured program with regu- lar features to be seen at regular positions within the show.

"Viewers -i are most comfortable when they can expect an interview or a film review at a certain time," he said. "It is our intention to build viewer confidence in this fashion. "Each night's program," he said, "will include in the broadest terms something about one of four subjects. I feel our viewers are most interested in: success, love, power HIGHLIGHTS ON CABLE TONIGHT 10:00 11:00 7:30 p.m. (3) One Step Closer Highlights of past Cleveland Browns championship games and the 1980 season.
