Adenauer has frequently insis- ed West Germany must be ac- epted as an equal partner before he contributes troops to the West European defense system. Mr. and Mrs. Carl and fam- Military Training For High Schools Strongly Opposed Harrisburg (fP)--A proposal to introduce military training in high schools drew strong opposition yesterday from a national educator. Edgar Fuller, executive secretary of the National Council of State School Officers, said the proposal was raised by Oscar N.

Ewing, Federal Security Adminis trator. "Militarization of our high schools would be a very dangerous and undemocratic move," Fuller told annual convention of the Pennsylvania State education Association. "Let's have the American public education system kept civilian and kept on a purely educational plane." he urged. Fuller said Ewing also suggested the convention that Ewing suggested the introduction of military courses in high schools as a means of increasing America's military might. Fuller said Ewig also suggested that high school terms could be increased from four to five years to compensate for the extra time military training would require.

At the same time, Fuller disclosed that most of the nation's education have banded together to look after the interests of education in the mobilizaion program. "We had a tough time even getting school bus tires in the last war," he said, "and we can't afford to let that type of thing happen again." Some 2500 delegates from all parts of the state were on hand for the opening of the three-day convention. The association represents most the state's 60,000 public school teachers. ily, Mr. and Mrs.
