The airline's operations were again disrupted Monday because of the sickout by protesting flight attendants who have not had a contract in a year. Turmoil jo'ses Iran oilfields TEHRAN, Iran (UPI) Iran's political turmoil nearly shut down the nation's $20 billion-a-year oil industry today, idling some of the largest oilfields in the world and cutting off natural gas supplies to the Soviet Union.

Wildcat strikes in Iran's oil-producing region threatened to dry up Iran's huge petroleum exports, on which the States and other nations depend. The work stoppages in five major oil production cities in the south coincided with widespread riots and demonstrations against the shah in other parts of Iran that resulted in 11 new deaths Monday. All the victims were said to be demonstrators killed during a clash with security guards in the west Iranian town of Paveh. Anti-Egypt summit meets BEIRUT, Lebanon (UPI) Oil titan and American friend Saudi Arabia sought today to protect Egypt against isolation in the Arab world at an Arab League meeting in Baghdad called to devise a strategy to counter President Carter's Camp David peace moves. But Egypt, which was not invited to the parley, blasted the session as "a grudge" conference.

The Arab League foreign ministers' talks, which began Monday in Baghdad, Iraq, aimed at preparing a summit meeting starting Thursday on how to unite against the Israeli-Egyptian peace effort. U.S. sentences Russian spies NEWARK, N.J. (UPI) Two convicted Russian spies, sentenced to 50 years in jail for espionage, were free today in the custody of the Soviet ambassador but restricted to an area around their New York City homes. Defense lawyers said they would appeal the conviction. Rhodesia destroys Zambian base SALISBURY, Rhodesia (UPI) Rhodesia says its troops have destroyed a Zambian military outpost in response to three days of steadily escalating military activity along their common border.

Although Rhodesian forces have destroyed guerrilla bases inside Zambia and occasionally exchanged fire with Zambian regulars, it was the first time they reported demolishing a Zambian military installation. Western diplomats are worried that Rhodesia's increasingly bold forays into Zambia and against Zambian targets will draw Cuban forces into the six-year guerrilla war. INDIANAPOLIS (UPI) -Government programs to get jobs for black teen-agers "simply haven't happened," said a New York state senator from Harlem Monday. ''All of the programs and all of the services we have heard about to find more opportunities for black youth simply haven't happened. If anything, it has resulted in higher unemployment among black teen-agers and this definitely has led to an increase in crime," said Sen. Carl McCall. He urged churches to do all they can to help black youths get jobs.

"The black church must unite in an effort to offer encouragement to unemployed black teenagers," said McCall at a conference on church response to unemployment among black youth. "The black teen-ager may be young and inexperienced, but survival in the ghetto has given him experience beyond his years. If he can run numbers and policy slips and survive on the city streets, he can manage an office," said Sen. Carl McCall. 'O'OGEI TO THE VOTERS OF UNION TWP.
