Gates, formerly of Hopewell, died in Indianapolis. Indiana, on Tuesday, August 26. The funeral service was held in the Evangelical Reformed Church at Yellow Creek on Friday with burial in the adjoining The pastor of the Everett cal Reformed Church offisiated. Harry E. Way Harry E.

Way, 22, died Monday afternocn at the Veteran's Hospital. Aspinwall, of Jymphauc leukemia. He had been a patient there since July 27. He was born September 27, 1924, near Fishertown. 10 John E.

and Alice (Miller) Way. He is by his parents and one sister, Airs Harold Horner. He was a member: of the Young People's Class of the He years as a corOrthodox Sunday, School, Fisherporal in the Army Air Corps. c.c year of which was spent in Italy. He was discharged in July, 1946.

wife of Alonzo Simmons died Tuesday morning at 1.30 at her home in Henrietta, Alartinsburg, D. She was the daughter of John and Christina Kline and was born at Tatesvillle. Feb, 17. 1872, and was married. Mr.

Simmons Feb. 27, 1891. He survives with daughter, Mrs. Mary Steele Henrietta, and two sons, Roy Simmons of rietta, and Ira Summons of Juniata; 10 grandchildren, six great-grand-jand children and one sister and one brother, Mrs. Crawford a of i Everer, R.

and John Kline of Hollidaysburg, Airs. Simmons was a member -of Diehls Cross Roads Churck of the Brethren and was active, in both Sunday school church work. She taught a class primary pupils in the Sunday school for many years and was widely known throughout the southern cove. Harry Hull Harry Burns Hull. 63, died at his home in Bedford on Friday evening Aug .29.

at 8:25 o'clock after illness. He was born in Schellsburg, Jan. 20, 1884, a son of Joseph and Rebecca (Whetstone) Hull. For some years he was proprietor of a garage in Schellsburg, later moving to Bedford He was married to the Maude Ferguson. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs.

Flora H. LongeneckMiami, brothers, S. Frederick Hull, both of Sonora, Texas. and one sister. Mrs.

James Egolf, Osterburg. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon. the Rev. Thomas Garner officiating. Interment was in Schellsburg cemetery under the direction of the Zeigler funeral home of Hyndman.

Mrs. Bertha Sell Mrs. Bertha Hoover Sell. wife of Cyrus Sell of Woodbury, died Sat-urday morning at 6:15 o'clock in the Altoona hospital, death being attributed to a complication of ailments. She was the daughter of Rudolph and Anne Hoover and was born at Woodbury July 7, 1872, Surviving are the husband and three sisters and brother: Rudolph Hoover of Florida, Mrs Electa Werft, Mrs.

Amanda Briggs and Mrs. Alice Barr all of Altoona. Mrs. Sell was a member of the Woodbury Methodist church and of the W. S.

C. Agron L. Mentzer Word was received by a niece, Mrs. Irene' Brown of near New Enterprise of the death of Aaron Mentzer in Fresno. Calif.

He is the last the Aaron and Rachel (Ashe) Mentzer family. Mr. Mentzer was born in Cambria. April 29, 1865. His parmoved to Bedford county near New Enterprise, where he received his early education.

When he grew to manhood he moved Windom, and later to California He was twice married. He was a brother of the late William Mentzer and Mrs. Lewis Walter of New Enterprise and Wilson Mentzer toona. Several nieces and nephews survive. Ada Pearl Myers Ada Pearl Myers.

45. died Monday at her home, Fairhope. R. 1. She was born January 15.

1902, to Louis and Emma (Smith) Myers She Is survived by her husband. Ralph Myers. and the following children: Mrs. Charles May of Buffalo Mills, and Hazel and Walter at home. Her sister.

Blanch Turner of Bedford and Cleo Turner of Altoona, also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 (DST) this afternoon at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, near Glen Savage, with Rev. Charles Raley Burial Jennerstown officiating. will take place in the church cemetery under the direction of the Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman.
