Beverly Siebe Hallgren SILVER SPRINGS Beverly Siebe Hallgren, 40, died March 15, 1998, in a mobile home fire. A native of Fayetteville, 111., she was born July 10, 1957, to Ralph Otto and Mary Lou Palovic Siebe, and had lived in Silver Springs since 1 969, coming from Fayetteville. Mrs. Hallgren owned the Sports and Spirits and Minnow Trap Tavern.

She graduated from Fernley High Schoolin 1975. Her husband, Michael died in the same fire and father and brother, Rodger Siebe, preceded her in death. several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral was held Tuesday at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory, Carson City.

Arthur Elmer Royer Arthur Elmer Royer, 77, died March 14, 1998, at Washoe Medical Center. A native of Sumner, he was born May 15, 1920, to Elmer and Myrtle Beadell Royer and had lived in Reno since 1982, coming from Longview, Wash. Royer was an engineer, retiring after 42 years with U.S. West Telephone. He was a member of Free and Accepted Masons and a was World War II Army veteran.

Surviving are sons, Glenn of Las Vegas and Rangal of Reno; daughter, Suzanne Yorks, sister, Mildred Kuzmer and brother, Edgar, all of Washington state; sister, Zintha Fullmer of Arizona; three grandchildren and 21 nieces and nephews. A memorial service is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Reno First United Methodist Church. Cremation will be at Sierra Crematory, under the direction of John Sparks Memorial Cremation Society. A memorial is being established with Nevada Bell Pioneers, Room A-103, 645 E.

Plumb Lane, Reno 89520. See OBITUARIES on page 6B the Moose Lodge, Fernley, Ducks Unlimited and a Vietnam veteran, serving from 1 966 to 1 969. His wife, Beverly, died in the same fire. His father, preceded him in death. Surviving are mother, Betty Jean Hallgren of Fernley; daughter, Laura Hagan and brother, Patrick, both of Reno; daughter, Tamara Hallgren of San Antonio; stepdaughters, Lori and Melissa Siebe, both of Silver Springs; two grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A joint memorial service for Hallgren and his wife, is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday at Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Fernley. A memorial trust fund is being established with Norwest Bank, E. Newlands Drive and Highway 50, Fernley 89408. Cremation is under the direction of Freitas-Rupracht Funeral Home, Yerington.

Paul D. Holder CHEYENNE, Wyo. Paul D. Holder, 57, died March 18, 1998, at his residence. A native of Provencal, he was born Oct.

13, 1940, to Grady and Nettie LaCour Holder, and had lived in Cheyenne since 1996, coming from Reno. Holder was a truck driver, a Navy veteran, a member of Wadsworth Lodge 25 in Reno and a member of the American Legion Post 6. His parents, preceded him in death. Surviving are wife, Sandra, daughter, Tammy Holder and son, Paul both of Cheyenne; brothers, Bobby Joe of Pineville, Texas and Ronald of Pittsburg, and three grandchildren. A graveside funeral, with full military honors, is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

Friday at Rugged Cross Chapel of Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes. Dorothy Johnson Kay Dorothy May Johnson Kay, 82, of Sparks, died March 15, 1998, at Northern Nevada Medical Center, Sparks. A native of Riverton, she was born June 1 1 1 9 1 5, to George W. and Bertha M.

Lewis Johnson and had lived in Sparks for the past several years, coming from Hayward, Calif. She also lived in Oakland, Calif. Wyoming and Washington state. Mrs. Kay was a cook at a dude ranch and owned a service station in Casper, and a flower shop in Montesano, Wash.

She also was a postal matron in Aberdeen, and a teller for Bank of America in San Leandro, Calif. She graduated from Riverside High School in 1 933 and attended real estate and Dale Carnegie courses. A brother, two sisters and one grandson preceded her in death. Surviving are son, Lowell Hopper of Portland, daughter, Marjorie H. Schuldt of Gooding, Idaho; stepsons, John Kay of San Rafael, and George Kay of Texas; stepdaughter, Sharon Kay of Reno; sister, Helen Manring of Montesano; 15 grandchildren and 15 1998 KANTOR To Dan I.

Cremation is under the direction of Freitas-Rupracht Funeral Home, Yerington. Michael Dale Hallgren SILVER SPRINGS Michael Dale "Bill" Hallgren, 5 1 died March 15, 1998, in a mobile home fire. A native of Burlington, Iowa, he was born Oct. 8, 1946, to Loren Dale and Betty Jean Owens Hallgren and had lived in Silver Springs and the Fernley areas for the past 1 6 years. He also lived in Reno and Lake Tahoe.

Hallgren owned the Sports and Spirits and Minnow Trap Tavern. He was a automobile salesman during the 1980s. He was a member of MARION LOZANO WARNER Marion Lozano Warner, age 92, died March 17, 1998, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, in Reno, Nevada. A native of Nevada, she was born in Reno on Jan.

31, 1906 to Joe and Lettie Glace Lozano. She is preceded in death by her husband James R. Warner (1995), and sisters, Nell Gerow and Dolores Halley, and a brother Edwin Lozano. Marion graduated from Reno High School and Stanford University. She had worked as a medical secretary for St.

Mary's Regional Medical Center and also in Washington, D.C., for Senator McCarran. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Katherine Orban and a granddaughter Julianna Orban, both of Santa Cruz, and nephews, Jim and Mike Halley, Stephen Gerow, and Lynn Gerow, and nieces, Mary Ann Halley, Mary Jane Schennum and Linda Lozano. Services will be held on Friday, March 20, 1998, at Mountain View Cemetery at 11:30 am. Interment will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Walton Funeral Home-Reno.

CLARENCE LEROY "HSU" TISIIER Clarence Leroy "Tish" Tisher, age 75, died in Carson City, Nev March 15, 1998, at 9 p.m., surrounded by his loving family. He was born Oct. 7, 1922 in Fernley, California. Raised on a family-owned ranch in Grass Valley, Tish was a third-generation Californian with a strong pioneer's spirit. When Tish was in his early 20's, he served four years in the Air Force before settling in Sacramento with his wife, Mary; together they eventually owned and operated three successful jewelry stores.

In 1965 Tish and Mary moved to Carson City, and founded Liberty Jewelry Loan, still in Carson today under different ownership, as well as a jewelry concession in local Gray Reids department stores. Tish and Mary retired 1 5 years ago to play golf, visit their children and enjoy life. Tish loved golfing, nature, gardening and being with his family. Everyone who knew him enjoyed his sense of humor, which he never lost throughout his nine-year battle with cancer. He enriched the lives of all of those who knew him, and his memory will continue to be a source of strength and pride for his family.

Tish said he had lived a great life. He will be greatly missed. Tish is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Hutchison Tisher; his son, Ralph Tisher of Port Townsend, his daughters, Ellen Tisher Holm of Santa Cruz, and Lynne Tisher Peleshuck of Carson City; his grandchildren, Brent, Amy, Traci and Benjamin; and numerous caring family and friends. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 20, 1998, 11 a.m. at FitzHenry's Funeral Home, 833 North Edmonds Drive, Carson City.

CDBG Project Description Notice Washoe County intends to apply for funds from the State of Nevada Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for the following projects: 1. Lighthouse of the Sierra (Planning Grant) 2. Accessible Homes Project (Housing Rehab.) 3. Grace Warner Family Resource Center (Community Facilities) 4. Desert Research Institute Incubator (Economic Development) $25,000.

It is anticipated that no displacement of persons will occur as a direct result of these projects. Carl Cook Carl Cook, 90, of Sparks died March 16, 1998, at the Hearthstone of Northern Nevada, Sparks. A native of Montrose, he was born Sept. 20, 1 907 to Alex and Anna Koch and had lived in the Reno area since 1974, coming from June Lake and Fontana, Calif. Cook was a retired plumbing contractor and member of the Lions Club and Kiwanis.

His wife, Victoria, died in January 1 992, and four brothers and one sister, preceded him in death. Surviving are daughters, Carolyn Williams of Reno and Roxy Schatz of Phoenix; son, Jerry Cook of Maui, Hawaii; brother, Bill of Salt Lake City; 1 1 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ross, Burke Knobel Mortuary, Reno. A funeral is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will be at Mountain View Crematory, with private inurnment at the cemetery. A memorial is being established with the American Heart Association, 1281 Terminal Way, Suite 111, Reno 89502. Wanda Chrystine Reed Corn Wanda Chrystine Reed Corn, 76, died March 15, 1998, at Washoe Medical Center. A native of Liberal, she was born Oct.

15, 1921, to Will and Ola Shanks Reed and had lived in Reno since 1982, coming from Hollister, Calif. Mrs. Corn was a homemaker. She was life member and president in 1965 of Washoe County Women's Golf Association and won the Nevada State Women's Golf Championship, and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Reno. Her husband, J.

died in 198 1 and sister, Velma Reed Lauri Lintz, died in 1992. Surviving are sons, J. Gordon of Denver, Gregory D. of Elko and David Courtney of Reno; sister, Ruth I. Burkhardt of Yuba City, and three grandchildren.
