Jeffrey left this week for the camp in Tennessee where Miss Lucille Jeffrey has been spending the summer. They took Miss Virginia Stentz, a student at Connecticut College for Women in New London, who will spend the month of August at camp. Mrs. Stentz and Mrs. Jeffrey will drive through that section of the country before returning.

Surgical Treatment For, Andrew Doorley Necessary Although his hand was saved, surgeons found it necessary to remove a portion of one finger from the right hand of Andrew Doorley, Lemont miner. Mr. Doorley had his hand badly crushed in an accident at the Lemont mine of the H. c' Prick company. Continued treatment at the local hospital, to which he was removed after the accident, will be necessary.
