Charles R. Massey Is 1 Laid at Rest in Smyrna SMYRNA, March Funeral services for Charles R. Massey who died on Monday were held yesterday afternoon at the residence. The Rev, James R. Gailey, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church was in charge of the services and interment was made in Glen wood cemetery- Mr.

Massey, who was 80 years old, had been an invalid for a number of years. He was the son of the late Henry T. and Susan Price Massey. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Blackiston Massey; two sisters.

Mrs. Elizabeth Carter and Mrs. John Wood, and one brother, Walter T. Massey, all of Smyrna. Mrs.

1 Family Fight Over Two Boys Custody Is Settled SEAFORD, March 7. A faahily fight over the tcustody of the two children of J. Alvin Morgan, Ja which took place Monday and resulted in four persons being held undsr $500 bail for a further hearing before Magistrtae James K. Phillips, was settled outside r.i court yesterday and the charges of assault and battery dropped. The children.

In the fight that ensued Morgan was cut and bruised. Mr. Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Powell and Morgan were arrested by Constable Riley Wright.

Z. R. Clark, director of research for the Wilmington public schcols. announced today details ot the elimination events in the Delaware Spelling Bee to be held by the eighteen city public schools having 4.330 studrxs eligible to enter the spell ng bee. Dean C.

E. Hill, of George University, is to be the pro-nouncer in the National Spelling Bee. to be held at Washington. Only students in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades are eligible to enter. The Delaware Spelling Bee will be brought to a climax next month with the selection of the State champion speller.

This plan will take fcur days and will result in some forty-six boys and girls being selected as the best spellers of the eighteen Wilmington schools enrolled the plan. These forty-six pupils will then be subjected to further elimination trials early in April and frcm this group fourteen will be approved to represent the Wilmington public schools in the State-wide finals the latter part of April. These spellers will be the fourteen best boys and girls that the Wilmington schools can endorse as their official champions to meet similar spelling experts from rural New Castle County. Kent County. Sussex County and the parochial schools of the city and State.

These fourteen pupils will be MODESS Sanitary Napkins division, announces that the Wilmington program has been carefully arranged and will be systematically handled so that each child may obtain the maximum advantages accruing frcm the plan. Each one of the eighteen schcols will have a preliminary elimination spelling bee the week of March 25. which will be conducted along the lines of an examination. Dr. Clark said he will announce shortly a representative committee which will assist him in selecting words for this preliminary elimination and ai the same time assist in the administration cf the program.

All words will be selected from the official list of 5.000 and their expanded forms around which the Delaware program is built.
