Percy Courville, 90, was born in Eunice, LA on November 5, 1925 and went to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and his wife of 64 years, Virginia Snider Courville, on Monday, February 08, 2016 at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. His parents, Adeluse and Angelina Courville and his 12 siblings also precede him in death.

He is survived by one son, Reverend Don Courville and wife, Vicki of Springfield, MO and one daughter, Gloria Courville Hayes of Monroe, NC. He was lovingly known as "Papaw" to 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and church friends. Percy was a long-time member and deacon of Parkview Baptist Church and a member of the Berean Sunday School Class. Mr. Bordelon, age 78 of Bunkie, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Grace Home in Alexandria. Mr. Henry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunkie, where he served as a Deacon.

He was a Bunkie City Councilman, named Citizen of the Year, and also Small Businessman of the Year. Mr. Bordelon was a State Farm Agent for 35 years, owner of Henry's Pre-owned Cars, a financing company and adjusting firm. His heart was full of love for God, his wife, his family and his community. He was a man of great generosity and a big heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Hilton P. and Esma M. Desselle Bordelon; and a brother, Steven Bordelon. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Clara M. Connell Bordelon of Bunkie; daughters, Lynn Bordelon Fontenot and her husband James of Bunkie, Hope Bordelon and Thad Trevillion of Bunkie; an honorary daughter, Paula Jane Sylvester and her husband Chet of Whiteville; brother, Michael J.

OMV Deputy Commissioner Staci Hoyt said the office has collected $22.5 million of the projected $444 million owed to the agency. Louisiana's Department of Revenue spokeswoman Kizzy Payton said the Office of Debt Recovery has also collected over $5 million for the OMV since the office gained jurisdiction over the fines on Dec. 15. Mott was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Homewood Baptist Church, Alexandria with Reverend Jimmy Eppinette and Reverend Ray Wells officiating. Reverend Mott 86, of Alexandria entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Tioga Manor Community Care Center. In 1929, Waynon was born in Tullos, Louisiana. He graduated from Tioga High School and at the age of 18, surrender to the call of preaching the gospel. While working toward his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Louisiana College, he pastored many church in the Central Louisiana area.

After college in 1950, he began his Seminary work, continuing to preach in churches around East Texas until he was called as Pastor of Laurel Heights Baptist Church in Winnfield. He graduated with his Bachelor of Divinity Degree from Fort Worth Baptist Theological Seminary in Texas in January, 1954. Later that June, he married Betty Jean Samuel of Minden. After Laurel Heights, they continued serving at First Baptist Church of Bunkie, First Baptist Church of Gonzales and then Homewood Baptist Church, where they served for 24 years, retiring in 1991, after 44 years in the Ministry, but continuing to preach and serve as Interim Pastor, Revival Evangelist and guest speaker for many churches around the area. was a mem ber of the Executive Board of the Louisiana Baptist Convention, along with being a member of committees and sub-committees.

He was the Moderator, Vice-Moderator, and Chairman of sever Elijah "Lenton" Christian Jr. Funeral services for Elijah Lenton Christian, Jr. will be held at 10 a.m., Mr. Laird, 57, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Christus St. Patrick Hospital, Lake Charles.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Vernon Laird and his nephew, Michael Chad Reed. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his mother, Vera L. Chamberlain of Oakdale; two brothers, Louis Johnson and wife, Kathy, of Oakdale, Anthony "Buckwheat" Chamberlain of Oakdale; three sisters, Mandy Reed and husband, Mike, of Oakdale, Melanie Vidrine and husband, Donny, of Pitkin, Virginia "Sissy" Chamberlain of Oakdale and a host of nieces and nephews. Lenton, 83, of Elizabeth, entered eternal rest on Monday, February 8, 2016 in his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born November 29, 1932 in Oakdale. Lenton graduated from Oakdale High School in 1952 and attended Northwestern State College on a football scholarship. He served in the United States Navy on the U.S.S.

Bennington U.S.S. Midway during the time of the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Calcasieu Paper Company and received a degree in theology from the United Theological Seminary. Lenton retired from the Louisiana Army National Guard. He was a former fire fighter for Elizabeth and member of Pitkin Masonic Lodge 338.

He maintained a great sense of humor up until the very end. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elijah Lenton Nip Christian, Sr. and Priscilla Denby Harper, and step father, Arthur E. "Sandy" Harper. Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his loving wife of 61 years, Carolyn Gill Christian of Elizabeth; one son, Eric Lenton Christian of Sulphur; two daughters, Dana (Michael) Melder and Carol (Michael) Edwards all of Elizabeth; one brother, Donald Harper of Oakdale; four sisters, Joan (Reverend Vernon) Powell of Oakdale, Marie (Charlie) Hinkle of Emory, Texas, Sandra (Roy) Gordon of Oakdale, and Snerrie (Kenny) Cloud of Glenmora; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of family and friends.
