She was preceded In death Early Loss Recouped By Corn CHICAGO -Corn futures came under some modest liquidating pressure today on the Chicago Board of Trade, giving up nearly 1 cent a bushel in early dealings. Later losses were trimmed. Wheat futures also displayed some surprising strength. The selling of corn futures was attributed to some favorable weather reports and some leasing in the tight marketing situation in the country. prices trended lower, largely on the weakness in corn.

The strength in wheat was questionable to some trade sources because the government is to report on this year's winter wheat crop after the session closes, and most knowledgeable persons in the industry expect another big yield. After about an hour, wheat was to cents a bushel higher, May 1.32¾; corn was unchanged to lower, May 1.27⅜; oats were to low. er, May cents; rye was to higher, May 1.23¾ and soybeans were lower to higher, May Tribesmen in Hiding Fight Indonesians By ED BLANCHE Asseciated Press Writer DJAYAPURA, West Irian (AP) Some 30,000 primitive tribesmen have taken to the jungle in the Enarotali region of West Irian to wage a guerrilla war against Indonesian paratroopers. Unconfirmed reports said that about 15 Indonesian soldiers have been killed in the sporadic fighting that broke out around May 1. The 400 paratroopers were dropped around Enarotali, in the central highlands, after the tribesmen damaged the airstrip to prevent planes from landing.

It appeared today that the troops have recaptured the airstrip and the town, relieving a. small garrison of troops that had been cut off. The uprising was part of series of demonstrations May against the procedure worked out by the Indonesian government to determine in July whether the western half of the island of New Guinea will become the independent state of Papua of remain the Indonesian province of West Irian. The rebellious tribesmen raised flags of the Free Papua movement and ordered Indoneslan officials and teachers out of the Enarotall area. Free Papua nags also were hoisted in Blak and other towns.

The Papuans claim the Indonesian government is trying to rig the plebiscite, known as the "act of tree choice." The inland tribes are angry because advisory boards chosen by the government will vote for them while popular referendum will be held in the more advanced coastal lowlands. In a broadcast from a sionary radio station in the crotall ares tribesmen manded that Indonesian troops to withdrawn and said: "We do not want pressure from outside for the act of tree Dutch missionary who knows the territory cald: "This tribes did sot want bloodshed, only the withdrawal of the troops. But the shooting broke out attar plane landed with troops despite warning trom the mat to de so." Mrs. Stone was fatally infered in a car-truck accident near Frankfort, recently.
