VA Medical Center The hospital needs volunteers for clerical office work and dispatchers for the escort program. Details: 786-7200, ext. 1643. Spouse House: Volunteers are needed for the soon-to-open facility that provides free temporary lodging for needy spouses of veterans in the VA Medical Center. A coordinator of volunteer services, volunteers to register and assist guests, managers for weekdays and weekends as well as a live-in manager are needed.

Donations to thrift store: Cancer Victims Assistance needs donations of medical equipment, furniture, clothing, toys, books and household items to sell in its new thrift store at 3050 Kietzke Lane. and Lillias Jaymes England, and had lived in carpenter past 44 years. Mrs. Carpenter was a homemaker. Her husband preceded her in death. A memorial service is scheduled for 1 :30 p.m. Thursday at O'Brien-Rogers and Crosby Funeral Home, followed by a wake at Sterling Village Lanes, 1 701 Valley Reno. Cremation will be at Sierra Crematory. Esther Gladys Doyla DeLong Esther Gladys Boyle DeLong, 89, died Dec. 18, 1 994, at Manor Care Nursing Center.

A native of McCook, she was born Nov. 1 5, 1 905, to Charles H. and Carrie G. Northrup Boyle, and had lived in Reno for the past 20 years, coming from Tahoe City, Calif. Mrs.

DeLong was a homemaker and a graduate of University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Surviving are husband, George G. and son, George both of Reno; sister, Barbara J. Hooper of Casper, five grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. A funeral is scheduled for 1 1 a.m.

Tuesday at Masonic Memorial Gardens Chapel, with burial to follow, under the direction of Ross, Burke Knobel Mortuary, Reno. Darrol Hugh Morrison Darrol Hugh Morrison, 77, died Dec. 15, 1994, at his residence. A native of Eureka, he was born Nov.

2, 1 9 1 7, to James and Mayme Rogantini Morrison, and had lived in Reno for the past 48 years, coming from Eureka. Morrison was an accountant. He was a past grandmaster of the Free and Accepted Masons, Eureka and one of the founding partners of a collection agency in Reno. He was an Army veteran and graduated from University of Nevada and Eureka County High School. Three sisters preceded him in death.

Surviving are sooJtfa of Reno; brothers, Do'halatnd Jim and sister, Dorothy Jye all of Eureka; and four grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Dec. 29, at Masonic Hall, Eureka. Cremation will be at Sierra Crematory, Reno, under the direction of Walton Funeral Home, Reno, with inurnment at Eureka Cemetery, following the memorial service.

Nauman Son Land Park Chapel. A native of Reno, he was born Sept. 30, i 93 1 to Leslie O. and Lena Kuhn Sorenson, and had lived in Sacramento for the past 24 years, coming from Reno. Sorenson was an electronic technician for American Telephone and Telegraph Co.

Surviving are widow, Marian and daughters, Janet and Julene Nichols and Cary Galvin, all of Sacramento; mother, daughter, Deborah Sorenson-Tafuna and sister, Dorothy Cundiff, all of Sparks; daughter, Cindy Chavez of Roseville, son, Larry Eugene of Fernley; and eight grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 1 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, with burial at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Cemetery, Reno.

Deloris Dass Tomberlin CARSON CITY Deloris Dass Tomberlin, 7 1 died Dec. 17, 1994, at her residence. A native of Duluth, she was born April 27, 1 923, and had lived in Carson City for the past 30 years, coming from Sunnyvale, Calif. Mrs.

Tomberlin was a retired waitress. Her parents, sons, Paul Williams and Clinton Tomberlin and daughter, Zoe Butler, all preceded her in death. Surviving are husband, Lewis sons, Clayton and Clifton Tomberlin, daughter, Lise Poloway and brother, Jack Dass, all of Carson City; sons, Scott Williams of Sisters, Ore. and J.B. Williams of Reno, daughter, Julie Purdy and brother, Jean Dass, both of Hillsboro, sister, Betty Jo Prussia of Longview, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lone Mountain Cemetery, Carson City, under the direction of Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Cemetery and Mausoleum. Marian Daisy Rampone Wunn, 60, died Dec. 1 7, 1 994, at her residence. A native of Oakland, she was born June 3, 1934, to Louis and Marie Mastroleo Rampone, and had lived in Truckee for the past 1 5 years, coming from Hayward, Calif. Mrs. Wunn was a bookkeeper for various businesses in Truckee, including Tahoe Forest Hospital, Cal-Gas Propane and Truckee River Bank.

She was a member of Sierra Bible Church. Surviving are husband, Gordon of Truckee; sons, Richard of Roseville, and Ronald of Rocklin, daughters, Debra Gonsalves of Rio Linda, Calif, and Cheryl Toll of San Francisco; brother, Richard Rampone of San Lorenzo, and three grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for 1 1 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at 1 p.m.

Brown was a design engineer for the Nevada Department of Transportation for 30 years. He served on the Nevada Community Credit Union Board of Directors and was a volunteer firefighter for Warren Engine Co. He was a bishop and high counselor for Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Carson City Ward and a Navy veteran. His father preceded him in death.
