Hoover was married last January to Miss Hosa Jones, the daughter of Mr. John Jones, of Chewsville district, and made his home nt Cavetown i three weeks ago, when he took up his abode i his father- in law in the house where he ended his life. The two men were engaged in truck gardening, and the family appeared to be living together in peace and happiness.

Struck by Daniel Kohler's house on South Potomac street, Hagcrstown, was struck by lightning abont four o'clock last Friday afternoon during the prevalence of a severe electrical and rain storm. After shattering the chimney, the electric fluid ripped shingles from Ihe roof and did considerable damage to upper ceilings.

The electric lamp at the iulei sect ion of Washington and Locust streets was struck, and the covering ripped away.
