Phone 3-401), After These are busy days for the members of the Delphos Volunteer FlrettHMTs Association, making final plans for the 7flth annual convention of the Northwestern Ohio Volunteer firemen's Association to be held here 6n Wednesdny, June 17. There are more than 200 member fife departments in the NWOVf A throughout the northwestern part of the stalo and several thousand visiting firemen and their families arc expected to jcomc to Delphos for the one-day convention.

According to Fire Chief Lewis 'Leonard, the local firemen arc planning to make this ycnr's NWOVFA meeting the biggest ever held the past 77 ycnrs. Nothing is being spared to mnke the convention most interesting as well as on educational affair. The business meeting will be held.in the Delphos Jefferson high school auditorium starting at 9 n. m. June 17 and will Include a special memorial service.

will be able to install about 150 new home heating units in Lima and other cities served by the company, including Delphos, George Vail, president, said Tuesday. The order, Imposed on West Ohio's supplier, Ohio Fuel Gas was issued to insure that Ohio would get as mnny home heating units as did other states served by the Columbia Gas System, parent company of both Ohio Fuel and West Ohio. Originally, these states, with higher gns rates, hnd been allocated a larger percentage of the supply than was Ohio. Vail said the 150 units "will sup- pry only fraction" of West Ohio's 2,000 heating applicants. Society For Crippled Children To Meet Monday The members of the Dclphos Society for Crippled Children will hold a 'regular monthly meeting Monday evening, June 8, 1953, at the Dolphws Public Library, Wiest Second street.

This mewling, scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m., is on open meeting, with all citizens of the city, who are interested in the work of the Society, invited to attend. The annual Daily Vacation Bible School at the Christian Union Church, South Franklin street, is scheduled to open Monday, June 8, and continue through June 19.

Sessions are set each morning, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 to 11:20 a.m. The school will he divided into four departments, from pre-school youngsters through high school graders. The Beginner Department, includes all pre-school age children four yearn and over, and is headed by Mrs. Lucrethn Kalston with Miss Ethel Mox and Miss Evlyn Allen serving as teachers. The themes for this department are: What Jesus did, and What Jesus wnnts us to do.

The Primary Department, is for children in the second, third, and fourth grades. Mrs. Martha Meeker is the superintendent of this department and Mrs. Shirley Wil- linms and Mrs. Clco Martin will serve as teachers.

The theme of their study is: Jesus the good shepherd. The Junior Department includes fifth, sixth, and seventh grades. Mrs. Cora Weaver is the depnrt- mnnt superintendent with Mrs. Betty Williams and Mrs.

Theola Wilcox serving as teachers. The the7Tie for the Junior course is: The Christian's birth and growth. The Intermediate Department will include eighth, ninth, and tenth grades students Mrs. Emily Rupert is the superintendent with the Rev. Ralph Wolford serving as teacher.

The theme of study is: Answering God's call. The work in all departments will include periods for worship, singing, formal instruction, recreation and self-expressional activity of various kinds. The older classes will make some very interesting and useful objects in the period given over to handwork. According to the pastor Rev. Ralph Wolford, director of the school, the school as usual is conducted not only for the benefit of the children who attend the church (but also for any others in the community.

Roland Brenncman and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Violet as chaperones. Admission will be 10 cents per person. The June 13th affair will include the 7th and 8th graders.
