5, 1958, and had lived in the Reno-Sparks area for the past 27 years. Northrup was a truck driver for Olcn-Wilford Construction. Jack Samuel Curto, 87, died Aug. 12, 1996, at his residence. A native of Lane City, he was born Dec. 29, 1909, to Dominic and Amanda Silliman Curto, and had lived in Sacramento for the past 54 years, coming from Ely, Nev. Curto was a mechanic and a 32nd degree Mason.

He attended White Pine County schools. His wife, died April 15 and brother, Gail "Bud" and sisters, Estella Maxwell, Margaret Lage and Alice Mae Curto, preceded him in death. Surviving are son, Thomas Gordon and sister, Muriel Phillips, both of Sacramento; daughter, Jacqueline Ann Surviving are daughter, Wendy Martin of Sun Valley, sons, John Brent Matthews of Reno and Benjamin J. Parker, serving in the military; sister, Annette McCarlcy of Ukiah, Calif, and three grandchildren. Cremation will be under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home.

Christine Turek Hoff CARSON CITY Visitation for Christine Turek Hoff, 85, who died Aug. 12, 1996, at Washoe Medical Center, Reno, is scheduled from 4 until the 7 p.m. recitation of the rosary today at FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory. A native of Czechoslovakia, she was born Nov. 9, 1 9 1 0, to John and Anna Turek Turek, and had lived in Carson City for the past 1 2 years, coming from Florida.

Mrs. Hoff was a seamstress and a member of the Catholic church. Her husband, Eugene, died in 1967. Surviving are sons, Eugene of Carson City and John of Carnegie, five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.

to W. C. and Sasha Connel Russell, and was a lifelong resident of Sparks. Mrs. Baldwin was a homemaker.

She attended Sparks Junior High School and graduated from Sparks High School in 1941. A sister, Helen Hall, died in 1993. Surviving is a nephew, Dennis Hall, of Sparks. No funeral is scheduled. Cremation will be at Masonic Memorial Gardens Crematory, under the direction of Ross, Burke Knobel Mortuary, Sparks.

William Lon Dratcher CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. William Lon Bratcher, 65, died July 20, 1996, at his residence. A native of Auburn, he was born Dec. 1 5, 1 930, to Glen and Retha Waldrup Bratcher, and had lived in Clackamas County for the past five years, coming from Reno, where he had lived since 1 954. He also lived in Portland, for many years.

Bratcher retired in 1 989 as shift manager at Bally's Hotel and Casino, Reno. He was a Navy and Air Force veteran and graduated from Gresham High School, Gresham, Ore. 1910, to Daniel and Jennie Chase Aiken, and had lived in Reno for the past 47 years, coming from Binghamton, N. V. Aiken owned a plumbing business and was a member of the Baptist church. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Hoberg was a registered nurse and worked for Joseph Ward, M.D. She was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. DEATH NOTICE DELIA DAY MARIE TSCHOPP November 18, 1905 Auguit 9, 1996 Delia Day Marie Tschopp, age 90, died at her residence in Reno. Nevada.

She was bom in Somerset, Manitoba, Canada, to Octave Rivard and Alexina Trotter. She was preceded in death by husband Ernst Tschopp. She was a Reno resident tor 38 years, coming from Sacramento, California. Delia was a seamstress. 6th St. Reno, Nevada. A native of Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia, he was born June 10, 1912, to Peter and Pauline Kisic, and came to the United States in 1949 from Yugoslavia. Kisic Kisic was a chaplain at St. Mary's Hospital from, 1 969 to 1975 and pastored at St.

Michael's at Stead and St. Margaret Mary, Verdi. He was a chaplain at Mount Zion Medical Center and the Presbyterian Medical Center for nine years and served as an assistant pastor at St. Dominic's Church, all of San Francisco and was chaplain at Houston Medical Center and Baylor University in Texas. He retired from the priesthood in 1982, returning to Yugoslavia in ivoj.

He was a graduate of the University of Zagreb with degrees in romance languages and Yugoslavian literature and entered the priesthood in 1930 and was ordained July 3, 1 938 in Dubrovnik. He was a professor of Christian philosophy at the Catholic Institute in Paris and of experimental psychology at Sorbonne, Paris.

Kisic was a member of the Dominical Order, the B.P.O. Elks Lodge and the Knights of Columbus serving as chaplain from 1963 to 1969 in San Francisco and Vallejo, Calif. A native of Manila, Philippines, she was born Oct. 22, 1 9 1 8, to Daniel and Rosario Ramirez Boquer, and had lived in Reno for the past 1 8 years, coming from the Philippines. Mrs. Muniosguren was a bank cashier for the Bank of the Philippine Islands, retiring after 37 years. She was a member of the Catholic church.

Surviving are husband, Ignacio of Reno, daughters, Pilar Aldecoaotalora of Sparks and Angeles Groeneveld and Rosario Churruca, both of Reno; sisters, Maria Chidotti of Grass Valley, Teresita Campos and Andrea Aranar, both of the Philippines, and seven grandchildren. Dad Mom District judge of murderer's Attorney General Frankie Sue Del Papa's office, under fire for delays in two death penalty cases, has gained a split decision from a district judge who has been critical of delays in the cases.

District Judge Mike Griffin permitted an execution date to be set for Thomas Nevius, convicted in Las Vegas of a 1980 murder. Nevius will appear Thursday before Clark County District Judge Joe Pavlikowski, who will set the execution date. Griffin had complained earlier that the attorney general's office did nothing on the case from 1989 to 1994. When Deputy Attorney General keith Munro told Griffin on Monday that death-penalty cases are tangled in technicalities and procedures, the judge replied, "Don't give me that. Your office was responsible fora five-year delay." Griffin said he doesn't have the authority to issue a stay of execution.

2, 1996, at her residence. A Lovelock native, she was born Feb. 7, 1933, to Antonio F. and Marie Alves Triguerio, and had lived in Lorane since 1971, coming from Hayward, Calif. She lived in Reno from 1941 to 1971 and in Lovelock from 1933 to 1941.

Mrs. Stevens was a real estate agent. She also worked as a meat wrapper and for a glass factory. She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge 570, Reno, and the Catholic Church. She attended Fairview school in Lovelock, Mary S.

Doten, Morthside Junior High and Reno High schools. A son, Richard, died in November 1953; her father died June 28, 1973. Surviving are husband, Clifford of Lorane; daughter, Sherion Fulton of Eugene, brother, Tony Trigueiro, and mother, both of Reno; brother, Larry Trigueiro of Casa Grande, sister, Irma Welch of Abilene, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation was under the direction of Rest Haven Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Eugene. A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Thompson, of Reno, brother, Darren Ferret), of Anchorage, Alaska; uncles, Grant Thompson of Reno, Steven R.

Thompson of Pacific, aunts, Sherry Doritrty, Shingle Springs, and Lois Thompson, Reno; and numerous great aunts and great uncles and cousins. Nevius and three others broke into a Las Vegas home in July 1980. As Nevius tried to rape a housewife at gunpoint, her husband came home from work and was shot to death by Nevius.

In the second case, Griffin granted a defense motion for a district court hearing to determine if Jimnry Neuschafer had adequate representation at his trial for strangling another convict, Jimmy Johnson. Neuschafer's conviction became final in September 1985, when the Supreme Court affirmed it. Despite a missed deadline in the appeal, the judge said that Neuschafer ought to have a chance for a hearing on the competency of his lawyers. Neuschafer initially was sentenced to life in prison for killing two teen-age girls in Carson City. Surviving are daughters, Desna Young and Dawn Bratcher Gustin and son, Dana, all of Reno; brother, Karl and mother, Retha Bratcher, both of Boring, brothers, John of Gresham and Gene of Portland; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was under the direction of Bateman-Carroll Funeral Home, Gresham, with a private memorial service in Reno at a later date. May Hana Shimamoto Bretthauer TRUCKEE, Calif. May Hana Shimamoto Bretthauer, 80, died Aug. 8, 1996, at her residence. A native of Bakersfield, she was born Jan.

1 1 1 9 1 6, to Toriachi and Hatsu Okomoto Shimamoto, and had lived in Truckee since 1946, coming from Bakersfield. Mrs. Bretthauer owned Tony's Cocktail Lounge for 16 years and later became a real estate broker, owning May's Home and Land Sales for 1 6 years. She was a member of the Soroptimist Club, Tinkerbelle Garden Club, Wyethia Women's Club, C.O.F.Y Club, Hi Sierra Senior Citizens, the Crafts Group and the Historical Society of Truckee. Her husband, Ralph, died in 1967.

Surviving are daughter, Janice Alberg of Eugene, son, Ken and cremations MEMORIAL BURIAL SOCIETY bike path road because of public opposition and the terrain. Hutchins was a retired repairman for Carson RV.

He was a member of Comstock Gold Prospectors and a Korean War Navy veteran. Surviving are widow, Mary of Sparks; daughters, Diane Currier of Middleton, and Christine Mull of Oregon; stepdaughters, Linda Petersen of Bay City, and Shelly Bolander of Reno; brother, Ed of Huntington Beach, son, Danny and sisters, Sybil Dolber and Sandra Wright, all of New Hampshire; sister, Ellen Emery of Cornish, Maine; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. Calif Dawl Brian Stultz. 45. died Aug. 2, 1996. at he residence.

A native of Riverside. he was bom Dec 17. 1950. to Clyde Stultz and Fem Stultz Davis. He lived a military lifestyle provided by his deceased parents.

Fem Stultz Davis and John A Davis of Reno and had lived in Roseville for the past year, coming from Davis. California Stultz was a farmer, raising rice and sugar beets for 17 years in Nalcmas and South Sutter counties. California He was active several farming committees He attended schools in Reno and studied agriculture at University of Nevada. Reno. His parents preceded hwi in death.

Survived by his former wife of 21 years. Janice Willey; his children. Margie, 15, and Diana. 7, of Davis, brother, Brett Stultz of Reno; and sister-Maw, Kay Gilbert of Reno. Cremation is under the direction of All Faith Cremation, Sacramento, California.

Inurnment is scheduled for 3:30 Wednesday, at Mountain view Cemetery. Washoe County commissioners voted 3-2 Monday night to begin the process of removing the proposed Franktown Road bike path from the county's various master plans and returning easements to the neighboring property owners. The county's park commission in June decided the bike path would probably never be built along the historic and picturesque Reno probe into tot's death expected to be complete by Friday strapped in a car seat in the vehicle in the driveway of her home on Hilltop Road.
