The irony of the situation remains striking. With a losing team the Cavs maintained at least a limited TV schedule. Now that the quality of the team and the interest of the fans increasing, they will be off of television (except for the possibility of a few spot games).

One possible explanation holds that the Cavs don't want local television coverage; that the lack of a free look at the. product even on the road will cause more people to buy tickets.
