To Prevent Traffic Jam Concerned about a possible traffic jam when the new six-million-dollar Wilkes-Barre-Scranton Airport at Avoca is dedicated June 1, committees arranging for the event have acted to forestall such an occurrence. Agreement was reached at a sion yesterday to limit number of automobiles at the airport to their 1,500. Peter and Paul Greek Catholic Church, Plymouth, was chosen May Queen for the annual Coronation MAN JAILED FOR ABUSE OF DANGHTERS James Hoadley, 43, of 4 West River street, Plymouth, was committed to the Luzerne County prison yesterday afternoon on a charge of statutory rape. He was arrested in his home Saturday night by Chief of Police Lawrence Kendig and High Constable John Peters. At his arraignmetn before Justice of the Peace John K. Pearce in Plymouth, Hoadley was accused of having molested his two daughters, ages 3 and 6. During the hearing the defendant admitted having been found guilty in paternity case involving a Wilkeswoman in 1940.

PLYMOUTH MAN'S FATHER DIES IN NOVA SCOTIA Leo Burke, of 401 Palmer street, has received word of the death of his father, Anthony Burke, which occurred yesterday morning at 8 in his home in Joggins, Nova Scotia, Canada, at the age of 89 years. Mr. Burke was a lifelong resident of his community and highly esteemed. His son, Leo, is his only local survivor. Fred Sager of Jamison City. ALFRED LEIFERT Alfred Leifert, formerly of White Haven and Wilkes -Barre, died yesHe terday resided at 433 West Spruce street, in' Hazleton State Hospital. Hazleton. A former carpenter, Mr. Leifert retired 13 years ago.

He was a son of the late Lewis and Mary Nincuner Leifert, and was born in White Haven. a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Carpenters' Union. His wife, Mary Neiner Leifert, died 19 years ago. Five sons and a daughter survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 in Grebey Funeral Home at 235 East Broadn street; Hazleton.

Friends there tomorrow afternoon and night. MARTIN CLEARY Martin Cleary, formerly of Plymouth and Duryea, died at his home in Vineland, N. on Sunday. Mr. Cleary was born in Plymouth, a son of the late Michael and Ellen moved to when he was a Dougherty Cleary.

State To Get Bids On City Street Jobs State Department of Highways will open bids on June 6 in Harrisburg that will include construction of 1.60 miles on Hazle street, Park avenue and South Washington street.

The announcement from Harrisburg said the local project will include removal of car tracks on the three city streets that are part of, State Route 40036. An agreement between the Department and the city provides Wilkes-Barre will pay the State $62,000 as its share of the improvement in the track areas if no legal legislation is enacted relieving cities of responsibility for maintenance of such areas. If the legislation is acted, the city will be freed of the obligation, the agreement states. Bids on 11 other projects involving 20.75 miles of road improvements will be opened on the same date, the Highway Department announcement said.
