BALANCE PLUS ji-i a TunimuT rn DI A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER 4 By The white-haired maestro Leopold Stokow-ski, at an age well past three score years and ten, continued an inspirationally active life. By personal example, he shamed many younger' people when he said, "I would rather talk about the future, the past is something we can no longer do anything about." He put his words in action.

In approaching age 80, he grouped both young and old in the American Symphony. One third of the musicians were talented youth; the other two thirds were more experienced, more mature. Dedicated to his conviction that America is a land of opportunity and that it must remain so, he exemplified a lesson many of us should heed. The young learn from the old and the old gain from the vitality and enthusiasm of the young. In recent years, in too many areas of employment, it is a shame that this two fold concept of opportunity seems to have been side-tracked HOMNESSY BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOMES 936 Main Akron.
