LUCAS DRY GOODS, FURNISHINGS, SHOES All the Seasonable Merchandise Buy From Local Dealers There never lias be.en a more urgent need for loyally to our home town, than that which exists to day.

Ruinous price cuttinfj; competition and unfair business methods have put the small town on the defensive. There is only one way to protect ourselves. S'PENO OUR MONEY AT I-IOMK. Many taxpayers are finding their obligations mighty IKIIX! to meet, because they aro' spending their cash out of the community in they live. Let us not forget, that the dollar we spend comes back to us in many ways if we will only spend our money with our local merchants.

It invades every business firm in Or and Prairie. It. is in and out many times, therefore it makes a profit for someone every time it is turned over. This helps all of us who are making our living here in this community. This BUY AT HOME CAMPAIGN is being used in practically every town where there is a newspaper throughout the State.

How imperative, therefore, that the people of Orand Prairie line up on this proposition for their own protection. If we do look after our own interests, it is certain that our interest will be neglected, and we will pay in loss of trade, loss in revenue and loss in taxes and contributions essential to conduct the affairs of the social center in every way. Make special note of the business firms that are in back of this movement and give them your business. Building a town or a community is not a one-man proposition. It is not an easy job by any means, and the day when towns grow on their own initiative has passed.

It is by earefuly planning, arid the co-operation and 'hard work of every citizen that they are built tody. How imperative, therefore, that we, every citizen, do our part in making Grand Prairie, our Home Town a better place in which to live, a better place in which to own property, and a more prosperous corn- 7nereial center. This campaign being -waged by the progressive business men of Grand. Prairie in co-operation with Tbc Grand Prairie Texan, your Home Town Newspaper for more than twenty- seven years, will extend over a period of twelve months, and every who has the interest of his Home Town, and Home People at heart is asked to co-operate with us. The campaign is in direct accord with, our President's program for better times, and certainly progressive people will fully endorse it.

Pass the good news along, to your neighbor, and assist us in the campaign and at the same time assist youft- self, as anything that benefits the- community will more or less benefit each and every individual citizen. REMEMBER! LOYALTY to Home Town interests protects our independence. If affects OUR NATION, OUR STATE and more especially OUR COMMUNITY!
