Miller Christina Holzer, 69, of 612 Blanche st. Postpone Decision On Santee Arthur Santee will continue to provide bus service from the Akron and Kent areas to Cleveland, at least for awhile. The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, which listened Thursday and Friday in Cleveland to complaints about the Santee line, has postponed a decision on whether to revoke the firm's franchise. Earl N. Merwin of Columbus, Santee's attorney, requested the postponement SO he can study a long PUCO report of Santee bus inspections and prepare his case.

Langdon D. Bell, PUCO examiner who heard testimony, will schedule resumption of the hearing, possibly in Columbus. PUCO had cited Santee for alleged violations of bus operation rules and ordered him to show cause why his license should not be revoked. James Fitch, a PUCO, investigator, and Frank Dittoe, chief of PUCO's bus division, testified Friday. Dittoe said some Santee busses checked last July in Cleveland had defective tires, exhaust systems and brakes, broken windows and no stop lights or clearance lights.

Fitch turned in a long report of inspections that wasn't read, and told of seeing Santee busses arriving and leaving seven to 75 minutes behind schedule. from Elyria, Westlake and North Ridgeville, west of Cleveland, told of long waits for busses, breakdowns on the road, fires, broken windows and seats and dirty busses. Santee of Sharon said after the hearing Friday the deficiencies are being corrected. He said he plans to purchase three new busses in the next few weeks.
