22, 2011. He was born on June 7, 1919 in West Bend, Wl, to Michael August Beck and Amanda Schacht. He is survived by his wife Billie J. Beck and seven children, Pamela (Robert) Grady of Peyton CO; Michael (Verna) Beck of St. Peters, MO; Elizabeth (James) Friederich of St.

Charles, MO; Carol (Phillip) Montgomery of Oklahoma City, OK; Mary (Gary) Fischer of Moscow Mills, MO; Cynthia Beck; Melissa (Michael) Skroblin of Wl; two brothers Robert and Edward; 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and his best friend and brother-in-law Newell "Duke" Allen. Following graduation from Holy Angels Catholic High School in WB, Wl, Frank served his country for 24 12 years. He was stationed at Horsham St. Faith in England. He served as a pilot in the 8th AFB 458th Bomb group and 754 Bomb squad.

He flew 35 missions in a B-24 over Germany during WWII. Following the end of the war, Frank continued his career, flying B-52's out of Columbus, AFB Mississippi, for the 454th Bomb Wing 736 Bomb Group. Frank was a member of the American Legion Post 388 in O'Fallon MO, VFW 5077 and DAV. With dignity and honor, Frank retired from the USAF and worked for Boeing in St. Louis until 1982.

Frank loved to fly, reading and gardening. He was an avid bowler and bowled his last game three weeks before his trip to Heaven. He leaves many friends behind at the bowling ally. The love of his life was his family. He "doted" on his grandchildren.

Unfailing kind he lived his life with love and respect for all others. He will forever remain one of the Greatest of the Great Generation, who gave their youth to his country. He will always remain in our hearts and memories. Services: The family is being served by The BAUE Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at St.

Barnabas Catholic Church, 1400 North Main Street, O'Fallon, MO, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 9-11 a.m. with a Funeral Mass following at 11 a.m. with Rev. Hogam officiating. At a later date, private burial.

The loving wife of the late Arthur Hermelin for sixty-two years, the devoted mother of Cheryl (Hiram) Martin, dear sister and sister-in-law of Rita "Snookey" (the late Phil) Simon of Tacoma, Washington, loving aunt, cousin, and great friend to many. She worked for the University City School District for 23 years. As head secretary at Flynn Park School she "mentored" many teachers in the "Teddy way of doing things."
