HEADS UP DEADLINES GUIDELINES HOT LINES Hayrides start next month at Quail Ridge Park WENTZVILLE St. Charles County Parks Department will hold hayrides this fall at Quail Ridge Park each Friday, Saturday and Sunday night from September through November. The hayrides cost $125 per wagon and begin on the hour, starting at 5 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m. Two wagons carrying a maximum of 20 people per wagon operate each session.

Each 45-minute hayride is followed by a one-hour campfire. Groups can bring beverages, hot dogs, marshmallows and other items for roasting. No alcohol or glass containers allowed. Reservations are required by calling 636-949-7535. More information is available at www.stccparks.org Rep.

Smith hosts open forum at City Hall Rep. Joe Smith, R-St. Charles, will hold a forum to discuss issues of interest to local veterans at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 100 North Main Street. The forum is open to the public.

All classes will be at the St. Charles County Service Center, 224 Mid Rivers Center, St. Peters. Participants must pay in advance to reserve a space in a class. No walk-ins accepted.

Choose one course from the following options: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. or part one, 6 to 9 p.m. Sept.

A cappella chorus performs at Foundry Art Centre The St. Charles-based Ambassadors of Harmony Chorus will perform at the Foundry Art Centre in Historic St. Charles at 3 p.m. Sept. 10.

The concert is part of the Crescendo Concert Series, an organization that brings musical performances to the St. Charles area. The 100-man a cappella Ambassadors of Harmony was the 2004 winner of the International Chorus Competition and is ranked first out of more than 800 choruses internationally by the Barbershop Harmony Society. Tickets range from $5 to $12 and can be purchased by calling 636724-2507.
