Puff Daddy and friends lead Soul Train awards nominations i Terry Keenan is back at CNN 7 Puff Daddy leads with five nominations for the 12th annual Soul Train Music Awards set for Feb. 27 in Los Angeles. Puff Daddy is up for awards for new artist; album of the year and best album (both for No Way Out); and best single and best music video (both for I'll Be Missing You). Artists associated with Puff Daddy and his Bad Boy Entertainment dominated much of the Soul Train nominations. The Notorious B.I.G., who was killed one day after last year's show, received three nominations album of the year (Life After Death), best album, and music video (Mo Money Mo Problems, which features Puff Daddy).

Puff Daddy associate LiT Km received a nomination in the best album, female category (Hard Core), and friend Busta Rhymes was nominated for best music video for Put Your Hands Where My Multiple nominees include Erykah Badu and Kirk Franklin's God's Property, both with four nods; Mary J. Blige, three nominations; and Joe, Dru Hill and Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott each after three-year CNBC stmt Terry Keenan, who last week left CNBC after failing to reach an agreement on a new assignment, has returned to CNN, where she'll be a senior correspondent for Moneyline and anchor Street Sweep, a two-hour show that airs weekdays at 3 p.m. Keenan left CNN in 1995 for CNBC.
