A life long resident of Akron, he retired from Goodyear Tire Rubber Co. in 1993 with 42 years service. of the P.E.O. Sisterhood in Akron. She is remembered as a devoted wife and mother, and a compassionate and spiritual partner to all who knew her. He was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. He enjoyed woodworking, driving, good conversation and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and Christian. He married Marian Virginia Jones on December 14, 1951 at Akron Baptist Temple and she survives. He was preceded in death by his father.
